"What a beautiful winter retreat! The home was lovely, clean, and prepared for our arrival, and the host maintained regular contact with recommendations in preparation for some wintry weather while we were there. We felt genuinely cared for as guests. The area is nice for a remote getaway, with some options for hikes and exploring nature if weather allows, and if not, you have a beautiful home and property for some quiet R&R. The hot tub and reading by the fireplace were family highlights, and we kept finding ourselves planning a visit in the summertime!"

"The place should be excellent in the summer, and we will probably go back there. It was way too cold for us to appreciate the scenery - hence, thought of going back there in warmer days. The check-in was somewhat confusing. I got my room number in advance via email (or check-in link?). I mistakenly thought that it was a contactless check-in, so we went to our room first. But we had to check in in the office. Despite the COLD weather, there were people tending the place, so it was easy to find help. Overall, it was smooth. The breakfast was simple and I LIKED that a lot (over having choices of food I do not eat). They had cereals, yogurt, muffin, two types of fruits and boiled eggs. I saw employees tending the rooms and parking lots despite the cold weather, so kudos to them. There were plenty of towels, and there were more towels the next day by the door (I think I heard the door knock, but I thought it was next door do I ignored it). "

"Room was comfy and clean. The view from the window was gorgeous. The whole resort was so quaint, warm and beautiful. "

"Everything was perfect, staff was courteous, helpful, room was clean and with all the amenities that someone might need during the stay! We really enjoyed our time at the Trout House Resort! Will come back again!"

"The front desk staff member was very pleasant and welcoming. Room was clean and well stocked with towels and amenities. Breakfast area was very nice…plenty of food as part of the complimentary breakfast. Would definitely recommend "
