"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Athena in Siena. The hotel is very nice, with comfortable, well-appointed rooms and an excellent central location that makes exploring Siena very convenient. The breakfast was exceptional, with a great selection and excellent quality. The staff was consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and we would definitely recommend Hotel Athena to anyone visiting Siena."

"Staff was exceedingly helpful and accommodating. Self check in and Check Out were easy. Staff communicated well, but if you prefer to be left alone, you don't have to interact with anyone at all. Very good for an awkward, anxious North American traveller. Main property, rooms, and hallway were well maintained. I really liked the decor and space provided. However, patio was overgrown, dirty, and unusable except if you need to smoke. Bedding and bathroom were clean; but bed had a corner that sunk and one of the towels had an odd rust stain on it perhaps from the towel rail? I would stay there again if they'd have me. Great value for a last minute nip into Siena for a week."

"The villa is amazing and the perfect little world in itself. Its closeness to Siena makes it easier to visit the city. The patio is the perfect place to view Siena at sunset. The staff was very courteous and ready to help. This hotel is a gem."
Grand Hotel Continental Siena – Starhotels Collezione

"Our stay was just ok. Very noisy streets. And the bread at the breakfast buffet was extremely stale for both mornings. We could not eat it. If you are allergic to dust be warned that their curtains and bed headers are very dusty."
