"We booked this hostel more than a month ago and arrived around 8 PM after a one-hour drive from San Sebastián. The parking lot was closed, and when my husband walked to the door, he found it locked. He knocked, but no one answered. Suddenly, a guest from a nearby window informed us that the owner had gone out and that he was alone there (with no other guests). The guest suggested we call the numbers posted on the door. We called, but nobody answered.
I immediately canceled our reservation...

"A lovely setting. Clean facilities.
Checking in was problematic as the host had no registration facilities. We never received the email
link to check in online causing the host considerable anxiety. Matters were not helped by the host only speaking Spanish."
