Although the fortifications in Signaghi do still almost completely encircle the city, you can only actually walk along a small section of the walls.

If you have a head for heights and good balance, you can climb to the top of one of the towers for views like these.

"Although the property gave me an upgrade the room was very cold because “ the heating doesn’t come on till October” They offered more blankets but no small heater etc. The breakfast was good and the views from the Hotel Restaurant of the Caucuses Mountains were great. There were no tea & coffee making facilities in my room, however they did give me one complementary cup of tea. The wifi kept dropping out. As a solo traveller I enjoy a good internet connection"
