This property is pretty unique in its location, away from "the rest of the world". You really are in nature, surrounded by nothing else than rice paddies, lake, and such a variety of birds. It is peaceful, staff are very friendly and helpful, food is excellent and will accommodate vegetarian and gluten free needs. There is nothing I can fault our experience on!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Otunna Guesthouse. We came in later then anticipated, and Dinesh, the owner, was in constant contact with us. They offered fresh passionfruit juice on arrival, and made the most delicious breakfast every morning that was probably the best spread all trip. Even though we already had many activities already planned, he offered any help as needed. What I really love about it is the serenity. It is close enough to restaurants, but far away enough from the main drag...

Amazing

Listen people- this place is AMAZING!!! Like living in a dream, not less. It is isolated from any noise, in the nature. If we only knew, we would stay there for a week minimum! The rooms are so special that I can’t describe- beautiful, air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was really amazing. When you book a room, contact the property and book also the village tour & safari. You will get a great full day package. I will definitely go back there!

Excellent service, location and staff

We accidentally found this fabulous hotel due to sudden change of our vacation plan. Hotel is located in very calm quiet area within 10 km from Sigiriya local ticketing office. We had an unexpectedly wonderful time in the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and supportive. Hotel has two well maintained pools and beautiful restaurant. Room and the whole hotel was very clean. Foods are so delicious as well. Highly recommend for couples or anyone would like to spend true relax time before or...

Congenial hosts provide excellent service.

Very welcoming and pleasant environment

We had a beautiful and peaceful stay at this property. The pool is exquisite and the rooms are so cool and beautiful. The wildlife is astounding and it was so tranquil to quietly watch it unfold around us. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well, arranging for us a trip to Lion Rock.

We loved this hotel! We spent 2 nights in the tree house and could not have been happier with our choice. The staff were amazing- incredibly accommodating and caring. They made sure we had a fantastic stay. Food was amazingly good. The tree house was killer- literally monkey's running in the trees at your eye level and very private! Bathroom was straight out of a magainze - the outdoor shower has a tree growing in it! A note on the tree house- the second night there were dogs from the local...

Great staff who made my trip to Sigiriya an excellent one. Location is good - quiet, but still close to where you want to be. Nice breakfast both mornings.

First of all, my choice was good. I requesed a taxi service from Corombo airport to this hotel. The cost was 25000LKR≒72USD. It's not expensive. It was around 3hours drive. Located is near from Sigiriya. You might be able to go there on your foot, but I rent a hotel's bicycle. It was easy to reach there. The cost was FREE.So nice! I had two days breakfast, the cost was very cheap. but taste was gorgeous. It might be Sri Lanka cuisine. It became my good members. The staffs are Family menber....

This property was our first stop in Sri Lanka. The staff were amazing and helpful. It is very close to the Sigiriya fortress.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are good to very good. The pool is wonderful and the grounds well kept. Beware the guides and venders and Tuc tuc drivers at Sigiriya Rock. They will overcharge dramatically if allowed. You need to be good at bargaining in Sri Lanka. (Which I am not but learning quick). Agree on price in advance. Ask hotel manager or staff for help. Don't be afraid to use the bus. I found it fun to ride and easy to catch and a super bargain.

The property was set just about 2mins from the main highway, making it very quiet. We loved that we couldn't hear any vehicles at all. The property was filled with lots of trees and we could hear and see peacocks many times during the day freely roaming around. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. We liked the breakfast very much. The staff was very courteous as well. The room was very spacious and clean as well, and had everything we needed. Overall, very happy with this property....

Awesome 3 day stay. Mr. R was a gracious host full of great tips and advice. Very good breakfast also.
