"Lovely B&B situated in a very picturesque part of Cumbria. The rooms are situated on the friesian horse farm and is a short walk (20 minutes) from Cartmel (L'Enclume, the Priory, Racecourse, Cartmel Cheeses, various cafes and tearooms) as well as being a short drive from the southern Lakes and the seaside. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, providing a large variety of home-cooked breakfast options (continental, full english, kippers, salmon, with options available for vegetarians) and...

"Such a lovely loft area with lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Really nice locally produced bathroom products, I especially liked the Sweet Basil and Orange Hand & Body Lotion. Wish we had booked a longer stay here. Would definitely go back."

"Steve and Sharon, the owners, welcomed us warmly and gave really useful advice about local walking. It's a beautiful old cottage with lots of character in a stunning area of the lakes. Steve cooked a delicious breakfast with service and presentation to match. I hope to return sometime. "

"Highly recommend staying here in the woodland cabins. We had a 3 night stay here with our dog and it was great. The cabin is comfortable and comes with all amenities needed, as well as a hot tub to relax after long walks around the Lake District. It’s located close to a trail which runs all the way to Lakeside on Lake Windermere. From here you can get boat trips and ferries to most places. Breakfast was standard full English, with cereals, pastries and tea / coffee. This was ok and self serve. We ate in the restaurant also and the food menu for dinner was very good, serving nice local sourced food which we enjoyed. Staff were friendly and helpful with requests. We would stay again for definite!"
