I thought the room was quite nicely decorated. And the table, settings and coffee set-up was nice. Because of the fan the room was OK without AC. The manager is very nice. We plan to come again next year, even though there has been athe local fire. We appreciate these people!

Enjoyable stopover!

Very cute, clean and inviting place. Loved the decor and all the added touches. As suggested we made sure to bring food for our brief stay since you are in a remote area...but it was a cozy, restful nights sleep.

Cozy room

This room was perfect for an evening on our trek up to the Gila Cliff dwellings! Clean, very comfy bed and funky shelving in the bathroom. Very nice remodel of an old motel.

Great Location

The room was cleaner than some brand named Hotels. Nicely decorated cozy. Only negative was no AC so the room was hot even with the window open at night. If I stay again it would be early spring or late fall.

Wonderful room in a beautiful location

Absolutely loved my stay! The location was perfect for the hiking trips I had planned while there. The evenings were super quiet... the room was perfect for me... enjoyed relaxing outside in the common grounds... and loved seeing the pack of javelinas hanging out in the front! Thank you so much!

A comfortable room in the middle of a storm!

I am on a mountain bike tour and rolled in about 4p on Labor Day in a rain storm, in need of a dry/warm place to sleep. On the outside the town, and by association, the motel is a bit funky. However, inside the room was clean and super cute with a small "kitchen" that suited my needs 100%. And the host was very hospitable and welcoming!

Comfort at Lake Roberts Motel

The room was very well appointed with comforts beyond a usual roadside motel: good bed linens, ample and good quality towels in a spacious bathroom, tasteful decor and "kitchen" amenities (beyond the usual coffee pot) covering most needs for people bringing in their own food (no restaurant nearby). Even though there was no air conditioning (and it was hot), the two fans certainly sufficed until the cool of evening. I just felt there was a personal touch, much like a small B&B.

Nice place... except for the spiders

We very much enjoyed the place but unfortunately there were many bugs in the room, on the bed and pillows as well as spider webs in the window. This all made my daughter very uncomfortable. Everything else was great. Thank you.

Reasonable

The room was spacious enough to suit our needs and the bathroom was beautiful. The bed was large but terribly noisy and uncomfortable, so I didn't end up with much sleep. Owners really helpful and responsive to all communication.

No A/C

This would be a good place to stay in the spring, fall, or winter. It isn't a good place in the summer because there isn't any A/C, a fact not mentioned anywhere on the web page. The fans provided did no good. We only stayed 1 of the 2 nights we paid for because we were so miserable. The fact that they omitted the information about the lack of A/C was significant; other reviews mentioned it as an issue so they knew other guests have had the same complaint.
