"We had a wonderful stay at The Chalet in Silvergate. The cabin was clean, well- stocked, and in a perfect location. The proximity to the Northeast area of Yellowstone was incredible. We were able to be at the park in minutes, and had the ability to explore the Lamar Valley before the crowds arrived. We had a view of the mountains, a running stream, the delightful town of Silvergate, and were wonderfully surprised during our stay with a beautiful late spring snowfall. The sight of a moose against the snow was such a treat -and one of the great highlights of our trip.We were lucky enough to meet the owners, Kip and Stefanie, who ensured things were ready for the season. They provided so many tips for places to see and things to do while in the area. Their son, Isaiah, and his wife, run The Log Cabin Cafe next to The Chalet. The meals there are amazing and everyone is so very warm and welcoming; you end up feeling like family. The hosts, Greta and Richard LaBorde are two of the most wonderful, warm people we have known. They were so attentive to all the details(even building a fire for us the first night); texting us when cool animals were close by(including a mama grizzly with cubs and a mama and baby moose); providing details on weather, the Beartooth Hwy, and other incredible sights in the area. Greta and Rich are both filled with so much information. They have a true passion for nature and the beautiful area. The Chalet is the perfect getaway. We can't wait to return!"
