"Overall, our stay was decent, but there were some disappointing aspects. We unfortunately saw a cockroach twice near the indoor pool area, which was concerning and affected our overall impression of the hotel. The general cleanliness also did not meet our expectations. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good with a nice variety of options. The location was convenient for beach access, which was great, but there was not much else nearby in terms of restaurants, shopping, or entertainment. If your main goal is a relaxing beach stay, this hotel may suit you well. However, if you are looking for a more lively area with more things to do around the hotel, I would recommend considering a different location."

"Nice clean simple accommodations. We would stay there again. The village of Silves is a nice, quiet smaller town (at least in May). Restaurants and sites are in walking distance. There’s also free public parking one block away."

"A wonderful rustic Quinta just outside Silves with easy access to the rest of the Algarve with a car. All the amenities you need and the nicest possible hosts - and dogs of course!! Wonderfully quiet and peaceful with fabulous views. Winery within 10 minute walk. We would come again!"

"Absolutely PERFECT!! We stayed 4 nights and explored the mountains (Altes and Monchique) and the coastal Algarve towns—EVERYTHING was an easy and quick drive. The property is just over 5min from Silves which is a great little town for shopping and meals, as well as the castle and an Aldi. 5min from town but SO tranquil. Doves cooong in the evening and all kinds of birds singing in the afternoon. I especially loved petting the goats and feeding the chickens and ducks. The hosts are SO kind and very respectful of guest privacy. They even gave us fresh eggs to cook for breakfast and enough oranges to make 2 glasses of the most delicious orange juice I’ve ever tasted! Orange trees everywhere. The hobbit house was quite comfortable and very very clean. We enjoyed a nap out on the deck by the pool in the afternoons (waiting for the restaurants to open around 7). I want to go back!!!"

"Wonderful hotel. Fresh tasty buffet breakfast - not a thing to complain about there except if you were staying for more than 3/4 nights it may be nice to have a little more variety. For me yogurt fruit cheese and bottomless coffee was perfect! Lovely friendly staff who give the best service and advice. Rooms could be slightly updated with chips and scrapes in furnishings, but had a nice the rustic feel. It would be really nice if the rooms had fridges and kettle. Overall a brilliant stay! "

"It was a very tidy, and reasonably well located. There’s a regular market next to the apartment, and a big outdoor Saturday market as well. There’s a play school next door, so expect a little daytime noise from there. But it’s close to grocery shopping, restaurants, and the beach. "
