About this property
Guesthouse with Pool & Pond on a Farm

The swimming pool, the horses and the lake were fantastic
We loved staying in this fabulous house in a great setting. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house was a great space with everything that was needed and Mary was a great host.
A lovely place to stay - quite a surprise. There are open fields, the horses, the bees, the pool, the lake! I wish we had had more time to explore the property.
I had an amazing silent retreat the breathtaking views and quick drive to the church made it the perfect fit. I’m grateful for all the thoughtful touches that made my stay peaceful and refreshing: the bikes, the beautiful property, the clean drinking water, amazing pool, the relaxing porch swings. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Definitely five stars in my book! I hope I can come back soon.
We enjoyed our stay. The guest house was very clean and had everything we needed. We just wish the landscaping would have been manicured a little more. The pool water was clear but there was a lot of debris that we had to clean in order to enjoy the pool.
I wanted to get away from everything and just have a peaceful weekend and Mary’s place provided just what I needed! I even bought some of her Honey which is delicious!! We will return!
We had a nice time and the setting was beautiful. The pool was very nice. We loved seeing the horses and walking out by the pond. The only issue was that the paddle boats and kayak were not usable. Would have liked to get out in the pond. We also had a minor issue with the breaker for the microwave and accidentally turned on a breaker that apparently controls the well.

We loved the beautiful country area. Sun riseses were breathtaking. House was very clean. Even had touches of home like community coffee. Although we didnt catch anything we sure enjoyed fishing in the pond. The puppies on property were so sweet an loveable. Was a great 1st year anniversary for me an my wife. We definitely will return. Would have loved to bring some honey home with us however noone was home the whole weekend. So next time we will definitely get that first.
Love everything about it!! Home away from home. Very spacious kitchen and user friendly. Check in and out was easy. Host was very kind and respectful. She responded to any questions or concerns promptly. Definitely a great place to stay. We will keep on our saved list of places to go for peace and quiet retreat
This little place is very peaceful and cozy. We had a great stay and would consider this location again! Property owner was very nice and very responsive. We have absolutely no complaints about the location or our stay!
We enjoyed fishing the pond, scenery was beautiful, quaint getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Love the attention to detail (the binder with ALL of the information although we did not need was an awesome detail especially for anyone who is not from Louisiana).
We had an awesome time. The views are worth every penny! Drinking coffee on a swing on the front porch in the morning!!! 🙌🙌🙌 My son caught so many bass and brim ! 🎣
Upon riding to our destination I was just in Aww of all the beautiful scenery. We walked around once unloaded and enjoyed our stroll from the chicken coop to seeing the horses and finally a walk to the pier. It's so peaceful and quite. Thanks to Mary and her family for sharing their piece of Heaven here on earth. Mary was very nice and helpful!! We loved our stay and we will be back.
This is a great spot for a relaxing getaway! Loved the beautiful property and seeing the horses and the cows next door every day. It was too cold too swim, but that would be the icing on the cake when it is warmer. Did excursions to Avery Island, Lafayette, and Clark Creek Natural Area, MS.
Now let me tell you about the amazing owner, Mary. I got a flat tire on the way in really late at night and was unable to get the lug nuts off to change the spare. In the boons I was barely able to get a message out letting her know I might be stuck on the road until the next day. Messages weren't getting back to me but Mary got on the road only knowing I was about 14 miles away (not knowing road, direction, car type, what I look like, etc). I had no idea she was coming, but she was able to find me and save the day!!! Also helped me change the spare with proper tools. Southern hospitality at its finest! Thanks again, Mary!
Our kids loved fishing the ponds, kayaking, swimming & just being in the country. They also loved the younger boy. He was very kind & helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
