"The owner and his family couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We had a lovely stay and were made very welcome. The Old Mill is central to the area we wanted to explore with Barnstable, Dunster, Tiverton, Minehead all within easy driving distance, through beautiful countryside. Local amenities gets an 8 as there was a short drive to Bampton to buy supplies, although we new this before we went and took most of the food we needed with us. "Utterly charming cottage with all the mod cons required for a lovely break. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and I was made to feel very welcome. Would love to return again should I be back in the area in future. Travelling with my dog, and everything was laid on for her too - very comfortable, well worth a visit."

"As soon as we entered Galleon's Reach, we felt welcome and at home. There was a bowl of clean water ready for our dog, as well as treats,towels and tennis ball.There was also a welcome basket with scones, jam & cream, as well as a lovely bottle of wine and two glasses (who could resist!). The views of the estuary are beautiful and the area is peaceful. If you don't fancy driving, you can easily walk to the beach at Instow which is dog friendly. "A beautiful setting with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean room with good amenities. I also had a stunning beach view. Nothing was too much trouble. They even catered for my Gluten sensitivity. The food at Breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. My massage was heavenly also. The only think I didn’t like was the fact I had to leave such a wonderful place! "

"This was our second stay at the Sawmills, the staff , the room and the service continue to be excellent. We will continue to stay at the Sawmills when next return to North Devon for its location and for its value for money. Only criticism would be to offer a non cooked breakfast such as porridge or cereal plus orange juice , evening meals could be improved to offer fresh season vegetables rather than chips. A most enjoyable stay."

"The decor of this Victorian building is superb. From the floor tiles and reception rooms decorated in the style of the era. Our bedroom modern and very clean. All the staff were lovely and we were allowed to park in the private parking, a real bonus! The breakfast was superb. "

"Lovely hot bath ideal after walking coastal path. In the centre of the town with all amenities, plus coast path and cliff railway. Very good value. Basic but clean and comfortable with everything you need in the room. Excellent service from Rachel at Reception who was friendly and helpful and recommended a brilliant place to eat."
