"Property was not cleaned, had to clean myself. Trash was left in both bath bins. Had ants in kitchen. Strong pet odor in master bedroom caused my kids to sneeze and 1 kid had itching every day. Fridge had food in it and was dirty. Washer and dryer were both full with laundry. Couch has stains. As do the mattresses, pillows, box springs. Baseboards throughout the apartment were dirty. HVAC return vent was dirty. Left a day early because of the conditions."

"Fabulous location! Walk to West End restaurants, shops and bars in 5 minutes. A 15 minute walk to downtown and all its attractions. Quiet neighborhood. You hear your neighbors in the single story building but nobody was crazy. How to sound proof the building? Small place but adequate for our needs."

"This is perfect for a weekend getaway for a family of 4 (or less). The Swamp Rabbit Trail is easily accessible (within walking/running distance), as is the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery. Hampton Station is a short drive, and downtown is just a little further (still less than 5 minutes). All of the essentials are covered, from coffee maker (single or carafe), freezer/fridge combo, cooking and kitchen prep materials, and even laundry facilities. "I really enjoyed my stay here. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The place was very clean and it's very comfortable and homey. I expected smaller guest quarters, but it's a full, roomy apartment. The location was perfect for me, and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. "This property is in an excellent location with walking to restaurants and downtown. The property was clean but very dated. Historic in this case means OLD. Old furniture, doors that don’t close properly, kitchen that is not set up for cooking, lumpy bed and generally old stuff. It resembles my grandma’s house in the 1960’s."

"Nice spot south of downtown within walking distance of everything. We showed a little early and the host was nice enough to let us in early. Clean, internet TV, bikes to ride, and all the other amenities of home. We will be back."

The home was beautifully decorated and inviting. It was clean and provided everything we needed for our group of 9. The location was great. We do a lot of VRBO rentals and this was by far the nicest place we have stayed."

"We had what could be a major issue that the host resolved quickly. Great communicator!! The property has a few little quirks typical for a VRBO. (Very limited counter space in the kitchen, door locks on the bathroom) Biggest win is the location. You can walk to numerous great restaurants. We had a golf weekend and there were some great courses in the area."
