"We booked for three nights to walk the hills around Rinjani only stayed one then left. The rooms are old and cramped, we had ants in the bed and got no sleep due to dogs fighting and the sound of the road. The toilet seats are broken and water supply variable, I got a hot shower my wife didn’t. We asked Mr Din how much the transfer to the airport would be the next day when we wanted to book it the price had doubled. "

"Decent place to stay, bed is comfortable and the rooms are small. Hot shower and western toilet in the room. The price includes breakfast which was very simple but good. It’s about 10 minutes drive from central Sembalun so keep that in mind as there are not many places to eat nearby. Overall if you’re looking for a place to stay and rest up for a cheap price I could recommend."

"Just went one day before hiking Rinjani & the road infront was pretty noisy to try and get a nap - but overall the food at the hotel restaurant was great and a nice little place!"

"Très décevant Je ne sais pas pourquoi cet hôtel est classé 3 étoiles sur hôtel.com: une erreur sans doute Il était annoncé : mise à disposition de brosses à dents : absentes bien sûr. Il n’y a même pas de lavabo ! Les serviettes de toilettes sont douces mais ne sèchent pas Un seul drap housse sur le lit : pas de drap de dessus, juste une couverture qui bien sûr n’est probablement pas nettoyée après chaque client. "The hotel is directly on a beautiful beach with snorkeling just a 1 minute walk down the beach toward the dock area. We saw many turtles and a bit to the right of the turtles and further out is a reef with live coral and amazingly colourful fish. The staff is AMAZING. From the time we checked in to when we left, they went out of their way to assist us. Two in particular were so impressive, Dwan and Ecko. The rooms are basic but clean. Everything we needed was there. The food and beverages were tasty and a good size portion. We especially enjoyed our evening dinners on the beach. The BBQ food was delicious. Highly recommend if you want to get away to relax and enjoy the ocean. "

"I had a great week at Manta. The rooms are basic but all you need for a beachside scuba escape. The staff make the place. So friendly and helpful. For me the area that could be improved would be the pool areas. Both that I saw seem a bit tired / dirty and not inviting. I know at the time they were working on the area around the main pool but this means that the second pool should be kept really well so guests feel like using it. Thank you team Manta for being so friendly and welcoming. "

An oasis of peace and tranquility

"From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I was made to feel very welcome and nothing was too difficult. The hotel is set on beachfront property that is spacious and quiet. The rooms are extremely generous and the attention to detail is high. There is plenty of coral and fish to see just offshore and high tea at 4pm on the beach was a great way to finish a swim. Highly recommend "
