This place was great, my group was a family of 4, with two kids and this place was quiet, clean and perfect location to get pretty much anywhere as the tram station was close as well as shops and Chinatown
It is a hostel but it was not backpacker vibes at all. Not social. There are only a few bathrooms for quite a lot of people and they are also quite faraway from some rooms which is when you need to go during the night. Also, the blinds on the beds are very loud.
However, the bed itself is quite comfy and the room has great AC. Also, it is perfectly located to explore Singapore. If you are here for a couple nights, not looking to socialise, and want to be close to things, I recommend. But I would not recommend to your typical backpacker who might be looking for some atmosphere
The guys from reception are nice! but the manager....

Walking distance was good
It was easy walking around to some tourist attractions nearby, otherwise close to the metro next to Chinatown. The staff were friendly, the breakfast included was bread with some jam, peanutbutter and butter, milk and different type of flakes. Bathroom are shared between men and women’s, daily cleaning.
Everything was good n fine,Myanmar staffs are good n happy in their work by cleaning the rooms n common area, toilets on evry levels, hard working guys, early wakie to prepare breakfast for the guest n very fine breakfast not like in a coffee shop, helpfull guys, they make all the best out of it in the hostel for many to come n check in,c u guys next time.Shalom!,
We booked a family room, which was a great size with two queen beds and a good private bathroom. We had our own air-conditioning.
The free breakfast was fine and we utilised the free fridge storage and luggage storage.
Staff were efficient and knowledgeable and helpful.
But unfortunately we found it difficult to get our children to sleep. There was traffic noise outside, the control panel on the beds buzzed faintly all night, the blinds on the beds were not blackout blinds and clattered when you bumped them, and worst of all we couldn't get the room dark because there was a large illuminated EXIT sign stuck to the ceiling. The sign may be for safety but seems like overkill - wouldn't a glow sticker do the same safety job without lighting up the whole room. So overall we were disappointed with our bedroom.
Great for transport options, chinese food options. But also KFC and other western fast food in the area. Very chinese area. Some hidden away, reasonable fabric stores in area for decades. Some local old time cobblers too.Coin laundry nearby.
Staff are polite, keep the place orderly and clean. Ample bathrooms and nice dorm rooms.
Do not like male guests who go around shirtless outside of their rooms.
Female guests who insist on keeping airconditioned dorm room windows wide open, letting in the heat and noise.
They have private rooms for families, but sometimes there are odd guests in the dorms who make others feel uncomfortable.
Stayed a night in the queen pod room for four persons and it was ok...very clean, albeit sparse. There's no other furniture in the room, not even a chair/table so we had to sit on the floor. The amenities were basic. They provided toilet paper, towels and hair/body wash, nothing else. The towels smelled a bit musty/damp. The bed was very creaky and the mattress was very thin, like 2 inches, so you can feel the hard board underneath. You can hear noises throughout the night from the busy traffic and people walking in and out of their rooms, but probably not as noisy as the bed itself lol.. Overall it was an ok stay if you're not sensitive to sound. There are also many dining options nearby and the mrt station is a short stroll away so you can travel anywhere with ease.
Which is the price it’s not worth I don’t like the room with outside restrooms very hot the walkway I don’t feel comfortable and I walk out to spend another money to find another one to make me comfortable
It was serve yourself breakfast and wash your own cups, which is fine. Some of the guests are rude and impatient. My son’s bread was not done toasting yet, one of the guest cancel the toasting and put the bread on the table. We were not happy. And after you use cups, the guests were suppose to wash them and put them back on the tray. Some guests just rinse them and put them back on the tray. It was gross. So we wash the cups first before we use them. The room was really clean and the hallway was clean. But the security locks in every floor was kind of exaggerating. I don’t think we would come back.
