"We had a lovely stay at The Water Edge. The owner is incredibly kind and responsive, and the property itself is absolutely gorgeous — cozy, clean, and set in a beautiful location that really lives up to the name.One important thing to note for anyone visiting in the winter: the road leading into the cottage is not ploughed. Between our three vehicles, we got stuck four separate times, and I had to call CAA twice to get us out. It was a stressful experience that definitely impacted our trip.I would strongly recommend having an all-wheel-drive vehicle during winter conditions. This wasn’t mentioned on the website, and it would be very helpful for future guests to know ahead of time so they can plan accordingly.Overall, a beautiful place with a wonderful owner — just be prepared if you’re visiting in the winter."
