Stay here was great, the hotel is very conveniently located, and the staff are great, very accommodating and understanding. We had a great stay, the street is nice and quiet and hotel is clean.

Somnia is in an ideal location. Close to harbour , the town, supermarkets, airport. We had a one bedroom apartment, it was cleaned daily with fresh linen every 3 days & regular towel changes. It has a nice pool with comfortable sun beds. Breakfast & lunch can be purchased at pool bar. The staff are very friendly & very helpful. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

A good value and convenient apartment-hotel. Really close to town centre and airport. Good sized 2 bedroomed apartment slept our family of 5. Appreciated the nice pool- a bonus in this location and price bracket. Would recommend.

Great location! The property was clean, basic rooms but cleaned daily and towels and sheets changed regularly. Air con was a bonus. Pool area great for Skiathos town. Only downside for me was the bathroom a bit dark and could do with a revamp…shower screen instead of curtain. But wouldn’t put me off going back for sure!

Very clean room daily, sheets and towels changed frequently. Staff very helpful. Outside bar was not open when we stayed 10/26th October. As we were the only people staying so had the pool to ourselves. Kitchen lacked utensils wine glasses, dishes for microwaving if cooking all the time in the apartment, but you only have to ask. Shower was a disappointment as small tiled floor with nylon curtain, needs modernising. WiFi could only get in the little reception not in the room for the first 2 weeks, as the island was all closing down the Wifi improved. Property in right next the harbour which was good, and the town for tavernas and shops. Buses were quite frequent. Found there wasn’t anywhere to go in the last week as every taverna on all the beaches had closed down. Best time to go would be 1st October when everything was open. Weather was 20c. The property is next to a junior school and quite noisy at playtime, also a local children’s play park is at the back of the pool can get noisy with music. But overall it was value for money, clean and local to all amenities. You do have to pay the tax to the hotel on arrival.

Fabulous hotel with an amazing manager

We had to seek emergency accommodation after the floods and were lucky to get a suite/room at the Somnia. Nobody had wifi so the owner couldn't tell if our booking was real or not but let us stay for longer than our booking until we could safely get off the island. The room was huge and had a dining and kitchen area too. He put his team in to emergency clean up mode as the island had flooded and there was a lot of mess and damage at the hotel at ground floor level. We had no running water or flushes but the owner and his partner were so helpful and kind when they were under immense stress and pressure. It was really sad to see the destruction. The location was great for the port, probably better than our main hotel booking (Punta) so we may book at this hotel next year.

Perfect quiet location. Very convenient to the bus station which I used to visit the various beautiful beaches. My room had a kitchenette area so I was able to get food from local store and keep in mini frigerator for my convenience. It’s easy breeze walking distance 5 minutes to get to Skiathos town center which is vibrant and where all the restaurants shops and bars/cafes are. The nearby New Port is nearby and lovely to walk by. I hope to return again in the future!

It is island Greece, so the streets are not North American style. We never felt unsafe, but the roads are dirt/gravel/little pavement and weedy which is not a reflection of the hotel. The hotel itself was clean and fine for my family of 5. Friendly host and staff, and provided great dinner recommendations too.

I'm sure this is a very nice hotel during the busy season. However, during my recent stay, I was the only guest there. The pool was unusable, the water pressure was close to a drizzle and there were no staff members on site unless you called a cell phone. Very strange experience but not horrible. Just wanted others to know in case you travel there in late October.

Unfortunately I was unable to unpack my case until day 2 of my holiday , the first allocated room was up 3 stairways , not good for me , then the staff in charge was very sharp when I requested a move , the second room had no window!!! Unbelievable until eventually the following day it was put right what was expected,but in all that ,staff moving my luggage ect a pair of Rayban sunglasses went missing disappointed really .
