Fantastic stay!

We had a great stay at the Lister Arms. We stayed in a cozy room, which was cozy, but absolutely fine. The breakfast was good, and food in the restaurant great. The service provided throughout was exceptional. Would definitely recommend.

I booked this stay for me and my mum for her birthday, and it was lovely! The perfect location for a long walk seeing the 3 main sights. Room was absolutely lovely with nice little touches. Food in the restaurant downstairs was great too. Would highly recommend!

The Lister Arms is as magical as the landscape surrounding it. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, and the food at the pub and restaurant were as good as it gets. It was the most delicious breakfast and dinner we experienced during our ten day British journey. And nothing beats the trails and scenery of the Dales National Forest! My goal is to return one day and stay a while.

Great stay and staff but could make small change

The staff and the overall experience was excellent. The only small issue - although I don't wish to take away from the excellent staff - is that the staff (or some of them) leave through the back patio garden area after the pub closes. This is guaranteed to wake you up as they can be noisy. If they left through the front entrance (or left really quietly), the problem would be solved. The hotel is excellent in every other way.

Lovely location, lovely hotel, lovely staff

Well, first the location. This hotel is in Malham - in the centre of some of the finest walking country (looks pretty good from a car too, actually) you could imagine. Marvellous walks, quite literally, on your doorstep. Now the hotel. Lovely. Very comfortable, good food, beer and wine (I tried them all). Lastly, but definitely not leastly, the staff. I've stayed in quite a few different places and it's always the staff that make the difference between the merely good, and the exceptional hotels. Staff at the Lister Arms were, without exception, lovely. They were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, this is a great place to stay to explore a wonderful part of the country.

Standard if accommodation was first class albeit a little pricey. Staff and comfort were spot on. Food was good but not many healthy or veggie options. Overall we were very satisfied.

lovely room in the barn annex. Good quality produce. However, the kitchen doesnt cater very well for lactose intolerance - only butter for toast at breakfast. Also, potatoes/chips are not always included with main courses have to pay for these separately. Food generally on the pricey side.

We stayed in the Barn. The facility is just across the road from the main hotel. We found the room exceptionally clean, cosy, modern and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb. Evening meal was great too. Cannot fault it!
