"Check in and staff were very very helpful. We only needed the room for one night so all good, if I was staying longer it would not work. The metal window shutters would not open so the room felt like a cave with no natural light. The room was fine but very basic and more like student accommodation than luxury accommodation. Once again, check in was great and very helpful."

Podstine Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We had an amazing stay at the Podstine in July. The hotel is beauty, tucked away on the coast just a 20 minute walk from Hvar Town. The real gem of the hotel is the private beach, sunbeds and swimming area. The hotel staff are very attentive, helpful, and lovely to chat to at breakfast, at the beach bar and at check-in. Maya was lovely to speak with and while I waited for drinks at the bar! The dive centre next door was a big bonus too, as my partner was able to dive without having to get a taxi or a walk a long distance. The breakfast was quite simple in terms of options, but was fine for us. We stayed in an “economy” room. It was quite limited in terms of space, but again, that didn’t bother us! It may just be a problem for couples travelling with lots of luggage. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel but the menu looked good. The drinks menu at the beach bar had a wide range and was reasonably priced compared to Hvar town. I would recommend the Podstine to anyone. We would definitely like to return one day!
