"This is a great parking around myvatan. Clean, nice and good breakfast. Only thing is the parking and the walk to hotel can be slippery, as the temperature drops below zero in morning and late evenings from September onwards. Also as this is in middle of nowhere, except good views nothing else to do."

"This hotel is just across the street from the psdudo craters, which is so nice to walk around.. Our room (and it looks like all rooms) have a lake view, which is absolutely beautiful. We hear the bird occasionally, which is so cute. The lobby has beautiful displays of various birds. For hot tub and sauna, the front desk provided robe and slipper. If the hot tub is hotter, and sauna was not broken, it would be an even better stay. The Islantic buffet is fantastic, I had salad and soup choice, and hubby had the full buffet. There are also small cubes of food like blood/liver pudding, dried fish, sheephead jelly and shark to try out. Though shark is not my thing, (hehe) it was great to dry various lcal foods in one place."

"Stayed here for three nights. Great location for all local attractions to both drive and walk depending on what you want to do. The rooms are clean and adequate space with good shared facilities which are well organised. Easy parking and on site pizza place would definitely stay here again."
