"We had a lovely time at this property, will definitely visit again and highly recommend it. Very clean, and warm house, great shower. Large spacious rooms. The beds where so comfy it was hard to get up in the morning Lovely historic building in a great location, idyllic view from living room overlooking river in a quiet village within walking distance to Shaldon village with several pubs and cafés. "

"Did need a thorough clean as a little grubby, we were warned that some previous guests had contributed to this. I think 66 steps to reach the property needs to be clearer and path lighting at night is poor.The parking for a large 4x4 is not possible near the house. Views were spectacular and the aspect is lovely, but a little tired. "

"We loved staying at Coombe Down. A master class in interior design and functionality, it has all the mod-cons and is really well thought through. Only slight downside is it is located on a main road so one of the double rooms and the single can be a little noisy with the windows open but we soon adjusted. All other bedrooms were quiet enough that you could really only hear the sheep baaing. The views from the patio are breathtaking and the location is good if you don’t mind a 20 minute walk into...
