The breakfast buffet bar simply groaned with a huge range of cold food and drinks and there was a good menu for cooked alternatives. We were only able to fit in one evening meal and we went for the specials choosing fish for both starter (trout paté) and for mains – as we were near the sea, we decided on ‘catch of the day’ which turned out to be sea bass. "We was in room 6 it was a nice big room and was clean the only negative was the room was above the pub entrance so we heard all the people coming & going and in the celling of the room was a bright green emergency exit light that lit up the room all night & the mattress wasn’t very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t that great but other than that for a one night pre holiday night stop it was fine "

"We came from Australia to be central to family for 6 nights. This amazing inn felt like home and the staff were so lovely and welcoming along with the food being amazing. Our room was very cosy and felt relaxing after long days out. I would stay here again as I have never felt so relaxed after a long flight from the Uk! Julie the landlady is so kind and caring looking after her guests! 100/10! Highly recommend!"

"The location of the hotel is stunning, with great views from the top of Leith. Very, very quiet surroundings. The room was comfortable but with repairs needed to furniture and equipment. Food was good quality but be prepared for a wait. An interesting stay!"
