Bridge and Sluice over the By Brook This is on the footpath close to Ford
St. Nicholas, Slaughterford The church lay derelict for 200 years having been apparently badly damaged by Cromwell's troops on their way to Ireland. It was rebuilt in 1883 and thus has a Victorian flavour. The buttercup meadow makes a pleasant approach to the south door.
Straw wagons at Slaughterford These wagons have been used for cattle feed. Although still on wheels they look as though they are only providing take-aways these days rather than a door-to-door service.
