"Very well-lit, which went a long way to helping improve safety feel, easy room access. There were some “characters,” but all seemed pretty benign. A/C unit was a bit noisy and struggled some to keep up (especially with the humidity factor), but it was very hot and humid weather so it did a really decent job all told. As it’s a pet-friendly property, there was some related noise (barking etc), which didn’t bother me, but is worth noting for others. There’s some aesthetic issues like stained paint, but even in a 1st-floor, outdoor-access room, we had a cricket, but I saw no roaches in the room. Linens seemed clean and the bed was very comfy, no shifting felt from my partner one the other side of the king. One BIG thing to note is there was no shampoo, and really no pans, dishes, paper towels, utensils, etc to use with the kitchenette, so if you *need* the kitchenette, you will need your own supplies. Full-sized fridge/freezer, stove, microwave; didn’t try the stove, but fridge and microwave worked well and were clean. There were ample plugs and USB ports at the light fixtures and side tables. WiFi worked fine. For food, “onsite restaurant” noted on other sites is closed/boarded, but next to a Whataburger, and kitchenette functional but again BYO all supplies. Overall good stay, especially for price, and my unit was clean. Just know about supplies and some noise to be aware of."

"Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly when we arrived. Parking was well lit and very good. The room was clean, good water pressure, but the smell of deodorizer or cleanser was a bit strong and we thought it would eventually diminish. So, after returning to the room from an evening out, it was still lingering but we were tired and settled in for the night. The air conditioner kept us up during the night as it would turn on and run. It was loud and annoying and along with the smell, we woke up with headaches and we did not sleep well at all! In the AM after getting some breakfast, which was very good, hot and tasty and well stocked. We got with the Front Desk to inform them of our uncomfortable night. They were very nice to accommodate us with other available rooms, one suited us well although the water pressure was low but that was fine. We were able to get rested for the next day without the smell to give us a headache and without the annoying sound of the AC. I may check the smell of room and sound of AC first, next time I decided to stay here."

"I had a late check-in and I felt like the front desk girl was literally waiting for me and I was so grateful! The room was large and well appointed and sparkling clean! Breakfast was hot (or cold as needed) and it was all clean and inviting! Thank you for a lovely stay! Highly recommend!!"
