"Absolutely fabulous accommodations! We wish we had stayed there longer! Beautiful view and extremely well maintained. The hot spring tub and cold plunge were a great spot. Make sure to get a cocktail at happy hour and take it for a soak!!"

"Always an excellent stay at Hotel Buðir. The staff members are very professional and helpful. Our rooms were clean with nice amenities and beautiful views. The food is always outstanding and the breakfast is well worth the addition to your stay. A lot of thought and attention have been paid to all details of this hotel."

"A wonderful stay at the Fransiskus Hotel. With This review, I would like to give a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Patrick - he was in charge of the front desk during my stay. I cannot say enough good things about how well he treated me. Polite, professional, and friendly. He also gave excellent recommendations for dining and even exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula. I hope that ownership and management recognize his efforts. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The location is within walking distance to the main dining spots, the ferry terminal, and the local sights. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking to stopover in Stykkishólmur. P.S. - the chapel in the hotel can be a place of calm solitude for travelers looking to rest their minds."

"The hotel was conveniently located to explore the peninsula. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, particularly the bread and smoked salmon. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner was great."

"We felt welcomed after a long day’s drive. The restaurant on site, The Mural, was excellent. The dinner and breakfast were good. We did have a broken door handle in the bathroom and we reported it to staff."
