Sound front home with private beach, elevator, views, gazebo, community pool
New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.
Our beautiful waterfront island home has some of the most panoramic sound, ocean, and sunset views on the East Coast. Located in the upscale community of Cape Island offering a community pool, private dock with fishing, a private boat ramp for small watercraft, over the water gazebo, marina, and outside shower, all just steps away from beautiful uncrowded beaches with private beach access. Watch boats of all shapes and sizes travel the waterway. See shrimpers dragging nets to gather their catch, which can be purchased fresh from local wholesalers. Bait is available at the fishing pier just north of the entrance to Cape Island. Ocean fishing from their pier is also available for a fee.
This three-story home (two stories above the ground level) features a reverse floor plan, with the main living area on the top (third) level guaranteeing the very best views are always visible from every window. Accommodations on the top level include a main bedroom and a bathroom (with a two-person marble shower) along with a half bath off the main living, dining, and kitchen area. Full glass double doors in both the main living area and main bedroom maximize light and views and give access to the top floor rear patio deck. The second floor includes four additional bedrooms and two full baths and a washer/dryer off the main hallway. Rear bedrooms on this floor also have full glass double doors to maximize light and views. An elevator services all levels.
Topsail Island is home to various bird species all of which can be viewed from the shade of our patio decks along with dolphin pods feeding in the Intracoastal and shallow waters of Alligator Bay. As for alligators, we have never seen any in the waters behind our home, however, golfers may run across the occasional gator around the ponds at the North Shore Country Club course. If you visit Grants Seafood across the sound, you may get a glimpse of 'Wally', the resident reptile waiting for a meal of scraps. Watch carefully early morning and late evening for a glimpse of the bobcat family living nearby. Not always seen but they leave signs of their existence on the pier on a regular basis. They can also sometimes be heard early in the morning. Deer can often be spotted feeding on the open lots and be careful for an occasional fox crossing in front of your car around the clubhouse and pool area. An evening walk around the neighborhood will allow you to take in the clean sea air. A public park you will pass just down the road offers basketball, volleyball, tennis, and a playground for the kids. Because Topsail Island is a sea turtle preserve, watch groups can be seen on the beach during the 'hatch', protecting nests.
THINGS TO KNOW Boat lift is not available for tenant use. The shared pool is typically open from May through September 30th.
