Prepare cost-saving, home-cooked meals in the full kitchen, dine together at the table for six (great for family game nights), or toss another log on the fire and watch a movie on the flatscreen TV while snowflakes dance outside.

What's nearby:
Bring the family to Soda Springs and delight in easy access to the slopes, lakes, and hiking trails. This home is right around the corner from the Soda Springs Ski Area and just down the road from Boreal Ridge, with Northstar and Squaw Valley about 21 miles away. In the summer, travel just seven miles to Donner Lake and only two miles to the Serene Lakes for swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, and just plain relaxing. The Pacific Crest Trail is also nearby for superb hiking and mountain biking.

Dock details: "Lot 1" is the area on Serene Road at the south end of the lakes. The facilities include the Snack Shack, the bathrooms, watercraft storage racks, picnic tables, volleyball court, BBQ grill, audio-video equipment, sun tents, swimming dock, boat dock, bocce court, horseshoe pits and the sandy beach.




Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect Family Retreat

This cozy getaway was perfect for my family with ample sleeping and close proximity to Soda Springs Ski Resort. The house was clean and easy to access.

Great property great location

Everything is as advertised. Clean, spacious great location. One of the single beds can probably be replaced (bad springs) and a stovetop was broken. But overall great property to share with family and friends!

Another fantastic stay in Soda Springs and Serene Lakes

This was our third visit to this cabin, fantastic location, super close to resorts, and very comfortable. General store is 3 minute walk away. Notes : The coffee grinder seemed to have disappeared, and there is no blender.

Serene Lakes Fun

This was my second stay at this quaint cabin in Soda Springs in two years. 2 minutes from freeway, one exit from Boreal, and the same 7 minute traffic free drive to Sugar Bowl. General Store and ski rentals a stones throw away from cabin. For Real Pizza 5 minutes away. More firewood and kindling or fire starter would be nice to see.

Comfortable and great location

We’re a family of 5 and each of us can have a bed! Home is clean, comfortable, and easy access to highway. Toiletries are all in non-plastic small containers— very environmental friendly. One minor complaint came from my husband and teenagers is that the internet is a bit slow. Other than that I think this is a wonderful vacation home.

Nice spot for snow activities

This house is a great location for nearby snow activities. It is easy to access from I-80 and has nice tree views. The house has a comfortable open plan living and dining room, with a good size kitchen. The house is very close to the Soda Springs General Store and is near to a gas station. Nice conveniences in the snow. The cleaning service before we arrived could have been better - there was Febreze sprayed on the sheets and pillowcases, and there was broken glass on the kitchen and dining room floors. Other aspects of the house were clean.

Clean, well-equipped home in a great location

We had a good stay at this property. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including a functional kitchen with coffee maker, pots and pans, cleaning supplies, and laundry facilities. The downstairs common area was comfortable for relaxing and conversation, with both a dining table and cozy seating area. The location worked perfectly for our needs - quick access to the Pacific Crest Trail and what looks like it would be convenient to Sugar Bowl during ski season. We also enjoyed the short drive to Serene Lakes and easy access to beautiful Long Lake. Overall, a solid, no-frills place that delivered on the basics.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Some beds looked like they were slept on. . When we got there there was someone there. He came out suddenly as we were arriving at the door and said that he was there to xheck that everything was okay. This made us a bit uneasy. Specialy finding some beds in that condition.

Ski trip

Cute house,easy to find,and 5 minutes from sugarbowl. Just beware,this cabin isn't setup for power outages! 1 flashlight and no wood is provided, we had to drive to Truckee to buy firewood, during a storm, because the Soda Springs store doesn't carry any,and it doesn't say in the listing to bring wood.

Clean, updated, and well stocked.

Perfect winter getaway. We only left the house to ski and had every amenity in the house to make us comfortable. Everything was very neat and clean which is a must for me.
