"Sadly I had a terrible experience at the Station Hostel. I booked 3 months in advance for a private room for a 2 night midweek stay during my trip to Germany. The location is absolutely fantastic, just minutes from the main station. Check in was friendly and efficient and I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. "Sehr angenehmes Hostel. Ich habe da noch ganz spontan ein Zimmer bekommen, da in Essen Messe war, gestaltete sich das als schwierig. Die Messe war von dort aus super zu erreichen. Ganz neue Zimmer und super sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Smart TV wurde mir eingestellt, dass ich abends meine Netflix Serie weiter schauen konnte. Super nette Mitarbeiter und sehr flexibel. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen."

"This is a gem of a hostel, you can't go wrong. We had a 6 bed room to ourselves and, while initially looking a little on the cramped side, it was no bother at all as we mainly spent our time out and about. Spotlessly clean, great en suite shower, firm mattresses (which I thought were great, but guess that's down to personal preference!) The hostel is a 25 min walk from the centre of Cologne (Dom & railway station etc) and located a few mins walk from the buzzing Belgian Quarter, but still...
