Waterfront 2 Bedroom Cottage, Access to Private Beach
10/10 Excellent
"Very cute 2 Bed cottage overlooking the water with dedicated dock. Small private beach which we used daily literally across the road. Christine made sure we had all the details before arrival about the property, directions, public transit, taxis etc, as well as links to pre-order groceries and essentials from the local supermarket prior to arrival. Christine also picked up the order the morning of our arrival....thank you!We were greeted in person on arrival, given a quick guided tour and any questions were quickly answered in person or by text. Our stay was short, but everything was excellent and we will certainly be back!"
"Breathtaking views from this property! The oceanfront rooms are incredible. We were upgraded by the hotel for my husband’s birthday, which thrilled us. When we return we would definitely get the oceanfront again. We loved the ocean pool and snorkeling right out front. We saw lots of parrotfish, grouper, needlefish, and more. We played in the waves for hours. As people mention, there’s a lot of stairs but so worth it if you can manage. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Being a boutique hotel, it is easy to learn the staff’s names and they look out for you. We enjoyed the fact that this wasn’t an overcrowded or “party” resort. It was incredibly relaxing and felt luxurious. Only downside was the bathroom design. All glass doors so very little privacy unless you lower these roller shades. It’s kind of a pain. Wish there was a little shop or more options for snacks. Surf restaurant was great, we ate there three times. We fell in love with Bermuda and will definitely come back to AZURA."
"Staff were wonderful, accommodating and helpful. We had an ocean view room, so the balcony was a definite, plus. The Bar was convenient. Menu was decent Bar appetizers. Good drinks. We ate at the restaurant one night. The food was delicious but extremely pricey two entrées and appetizer to split, a beer and a Diet Coke came to $150. The beach is absolutely beautiful, but the water is rough on that side of the island. The rooms had the amenities that you need but no extras like a microwave or a pamphlet that tells you like what’s in the area or is there laundry services etc. They definitely need an upgrade to the rooms as they were basic but acceptable. One big negative was the shower door lets all the water onto the floor. It would’ve been nice to have a screen on the sliding door so that I could keep the door open to hear the tree frogs in the ocean. Cleanliness was ok. It wasn’t spotless but for what we paid and where it was it was ok. Because we were just there in August the air conditioner we ran 24/7 and it kept the room icy cold. The Coco Reef is very conveniently located to the bus stop although you do have to walk down a big hill. There is also a grocery store that is like one block away. This has been our 4th trip to Bermuda in the last two years we have stayed at two other hotels that were more expensive. Cocoa Reefs is definitely affordable for families. There were a lot of young kids there. The pool was very nice and refreshing."
"Visited 8/1-8/5 and enjoyed the property and all-inclusive option. The waitstaff was exemplary! The food was very good and drinks were always available. The beach at the resort was well maintained and because it's a bay the water was calm and great for swimming. Our room in building 6 was perfect. Close to the beach and pool with a great view of the bay. The fitness center needs a little TLC. Overall a great experience and I would definitely stay here again."
"Another wonderful stay at the Coach House at Tween Walls. Laura and Elizabeth are outstanding hosts with 5-star communication. All the nitty-gritty was smooth and easy. As for the property - it is perfect (for us). My family of 4 stayed 5 nights. I love rentals that actually have some of the basics stocked - soaps, sun screen, condiments and all the spices you need. The little beach is a gem - not powder white sand (that's a 5 minute walk) but a secluded little spot to snorkel, fish and take a dip. Great location. Comfortable inside and out. Just a 12 minute walk to the market for anything you need. Thank you ladies. We hope to return soon."
Historic 1780’s Beach House with Large Veranda! Nestled on Cambridge Beach!
8/10 Good
"Overall we had a great time here! Hosts were always quick to respond and the listing was accurate. Beds were very comfy. We found at least 3 restaurants within walking distance. It was a short walk to the bus stop and the market, which had everything we needed. The nearby beach was beautiful and we always found chairs and umbrellas. One thing to note is that glass regularly washes up, so we had to be really careful with our small child. Luckily he didn't get hurt. The grounds were also beautiful! We had a few hiccups during our stay. One evening we suddenly ran out of water at the house, and we had a fancy dinner reservation a couple hours later for a big 70th birthday party. The host was able to resolve it relatively quickly, but a couple of us had to use the outdoor showers at the nearby resort, and a couple of us went without showers. We also noticed ants in the kitchen and had mice chewing into food packaging in the cabinets overnight (also found mouse droppings). We started keeping our food inside a cooler and didn't have trouble after that, but would have been nice to know about so we didn't have to toss some food. One of the showers has black mold. Otherwise the house was very clean. Also on our last day the fridge and freezer stopped working. Finally it seems like more time is needed between check out and check in. The cleaners were there for 90 min after we checked in, and we were asked if we were leaving early when we checked out because another party was arriving."
Private and Dreamy.....Balcony, Wine, Sunset, Upstairs with its own entrance!
10/10 Excellent
"Location apartment and hosts were excellent. The small beach directly opposite the apartment was a real plus. The water was so clean and we swam ever day. I cant recommend the apartment and location enough. Bus stops to the Docks and Hamilton are directly outside making travelling on local transport so easy. Jody (the host) was very helpful and accomodating. All of this meant we had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays."
