The roomy had great lighting, was very clean and spacious. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! I would absolutely stay here again.

If you are visiting Wartburg Castle, there is no better place to stay. The walk through the woods to the castle is magical. The room is decorated comfortably with quality furniture. The breakfast is full of variety with a view to match. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and were very pleased with the food and service.

Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb. Lots of walking opportunities around town with site seeing and hiking just a short drive away. We like our room it’s very spacious from the hotel there is a way going straight to the thermal bad.

The hotel stay was pleasant. Very clean, convenient free parking right at the hotel, breakfast was plenty. Optional dinner on most days. You can start your hikes right at the hotel. I liked the guest kitchen with microwave, coffeemaker and filled refrigerator. The hotel takes the risk counting on honest guests. I really felt good about it. Amazing time , we loved the Porsche decoration , and to top it , they had a classic Porsche meeting the day of our stay! We will def stay again , when we are back in Germany! Super centric as well, so you can stop by on a long drive !
