It is a more than adequate motel

No one was at the desk when we arrived, and we waited for a couple of minutes for someone to show up. My booking said I had a 2 room suite - we got a one room basic (and by the time we found out, there were no staff around to ask about it). The one electrical outlet in the bathroom (ceiling) was a GFCI, and it failed by the second day. No one ever tried to explain the discrepancy in the room we got v. our booking. The facility is at a highway junction, and we had a lot of traffic noise, even though our room was in the center, as far away from the surrounding roads as possible, with the office building between us and the roads. The staff were all nice, and the continental breakfast was adequate, but even accounting for the fact this was near Sonoma (couple of miles outside of town), it was not value for price paid.

Vineyard Hotel is convenient to many of the wineries around Sonoma, The person behind the desk were both very welcoming and friendly and offered help as to which of the wineries to visit. The place is quaint and very simple. You are in Sonoma to visit the area and not to stay in your hotel and watch TV. Although the intersection of the place was busy, my GPS gave me the back roads to and from. Great stay, beautiful courtyard with statues. Just an overall great place for a weekend getaway!

The hotel sits at a large intersection, it's an older facility and the rooms were pretty small but you have to give them an A for effort, you can tell they try to make it a pleasant experience!

Terribly uncomfortable bed. Like I was at summer camp. Outdated. All it has going for them is - good location.

I have to say we were terribly disappointed after staying at the Vineyard Inn. The outside is quaint and cute, the people are friendly, the location is just a few miles from the main center park.....however... The rooms are closet size, the plumbing is worthless (15 min in the shower and still couldn't get my hair wet along with having to plunge both the shower and the toilet!). Uncomfortable old mattresses. Gross bedspread, old as the hills TV. Sadly, they just need to renovate before anyone should be charged anything to stay there.

Enjoyed the 2 days that we spent at the Vineyard Inn Hotel. The rooms were like stepping back in time, although extremely clean and comfortable. The only negative was that the hotel sat on a very busy and somewhat noisey thoroughfare.

8/10

The rooms are average, but good for the price in this area. You must check out the outdoor patio & surrounding grounds. That's where the special is here. It was quite the nice surprise! We sat out on some of the couches drinking wine, snacking, talking & working on a project for hours. So enjoyable! I'll be back.

We had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggesions about attractions. The rooms are small but comfortable and very clean. You are only a $15 cab ride to downtown Sonoma. I would stay there again.

6/10

Located at a busy intersection. It was very noisy from the traffic.

10/10

The hotel was very comfortable and clean and close to all the places we wanted to see or go to.. Small but very exceptable. The personel was excellent. We will return again and will recommend it highly.

Nice motel, but old and needed some repair and new bathroom. Location is at the corner of two highways and therefore a little noise. Breakfast was very good and the service good

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to Sonoma for a last quick weekend getaway. The Vineyard Inn Hotel was one of the only available places that was moderately priced and wasn't disgusting-looking. The pictures online seemed like it was a small Inn with a cute pool area surrounded by plush gardens, so I thought that's what I expected. However, when we pulled up to the Vineyard Inn "Hotel" we discovered that the "hotel" was really a motel with an extremely small pool/ lounge area that surrounded a long, narrow driveway/parking lot strip with a small garden next to the "breakfast room" and office. The description also leaves out that the motel is located at the corner of a highway junction.. Besides those things, we had a comfortable stay at the Vineyard Inn. Our room was small, but perfect for the two of us (the bathroom was a little out dated though). The Owners/Managers of the inn were extremely accommodating and welcoming. They helped us plan our weekend, which turned out to be a blast. If you're looking for a reasonably priced place near Sonoma (5-10 min drive) that is simple and comfortable with accommodating staff, then this is your place.

We went up to wine country for the weekend, and found this hotel. We chose it becuasse it was located close enough to Napa and Sonoma so we had flexibility to go to Napa or Sonoma. Check in was fine. But then we got into the room. This was the smallest bedroom I have ever seen. The tv was 13" wide, and had about 5 stations. Bathroom was also very small (sink was in the corner, no tub, just a shower). The walls are paper thin. You can hear conversations and (ahem) too clearly. To make things worse, the hotel staff came into our room (accidentally) at 1am while we were sleeping, and woke up my girlfriend. We couldnt leave fast enough. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a great stay. The hotel was very nice. Room was a little small but the overall feel of the place was great!

We stayed at the Vineyard Inn during our weekend trip to Sonoma and Napa, and we can highly recommend the hotel. The hacienda styled hotel have cute, clean and romantic rooms named after different wine grapes. The location is very convenient just south of Sonoma along the main road. But what really hits the spot are the terrific staff and owners. They really went out on a limb to make our stay the best! With all their help and advice we got to visit the nicest places in the area! They even went invited us to an evening barbeque, and offered to drive us. That kind of service is priceless!

4/10

This place has extremely poor customer service and attitude. i coul dnot get anyone to help becuase tey were off chasing their sheeoprthat had escaped or something. For the price and location you could do FAR better than this place

4/10

This hotel is RIGHT on the main road in Sonoma, very close to several wineries. However, the room we had was shabby at best; the sheets had what looked like a mouse turd on them, as well as a bug. The bathroom was fairly clean, but tiny and VERY shabby. The breakfast was just ok (decent fruit, stale muffins, good coffee). The manager seemed to be a nice guy, so if we had complained, he might have offered some recompense, but we just checked out and took off. The price seems to be decent, especially compared to some of the B&B's, but I wish I had paid more for a nicer place.

8/10

Nice motel/hotel - clean, friendly staff, quaint and conveniently located with easy access to main roads. Only complaint is that bathroom was a bit small, lighting was poor and piping is very loud. Overall, given value for location, it was as expected - a convenient and clean upgrade on a motel if you do not expect to spend time in your room. Nice curb appeal.

The Vineyard Inn is a small place with only a hand full of rooms but the service of the staff and the personal touches we recived were top of the line!! I've stayed at all the large chain hotels in Sonoma and yes the rooms might be nicer but the vibe from the big hotels are very intimidating. My girl and I are just regular people with limited knowldge of wine and wine etique. The manager of the Vineyard Inn spent the evening with us out on the beautiful garden and shared with us all the little querks, tips and tricks to wine testing. My girlfriend and I had the best 3 romantic nights at The Vineyard Inn and because of the friendly personal service we will be back there next year!!!!!!
