Primary bedroom was nice but second bed is behind a short wall in the living area, so not private. Communication with manager could have been more consistent, with no message leading up to the rental with check in details, that is pretty standard. "Oma ist nur eine Woche zu ihrer Freundin gefahren und hat uns eingeladen unsere Ferien doch in ihrem schönen Haus in Fischen zu verbringen - so etwa fühlt es sich an. Nirgendwo Ferienwohnungs-Nippes, alles gehört wirklich Oma, von den Kochbüchern ihrer Jugend, bis zum Fleckentferner meiner Jugend (Perplex! gibt es das noch?) über das Küchensilber in den Holzschubladen bis zum Werkzeugkoffer (haben wir dann wirklich gebraucht) : THIS IS REAL. Manchen ist das nicht hotelzimmerneutral und luxuriös genug ( und die sollten wegbleiben), - wir fandens himmlisch und mit einem Luxus gesegnet, den man nicht kaufen kann."

"This is a first class hotel. I returned for my second time in 2 years. Great location--just outside Obertsdorf. Outstanding restaurant. You know it's top notch when it is full of Germans looking for a hiking/biking get away location. Service is excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. Highly recommended as an authentic mountain retreat with fantastic trails and lifts to the upper peaks. I will return again next year."

"This is a “Mountain House”, and is on the rustic side. It’s extremely charming. Marco and Ivan will shuttle you. The cows with their bells will lull you to sleep. Good choice of beer , bread and snacks. I was here to go to the Diamond Way Europe Center. The folks are very nice and make sure you have what you need. Bring a fine cigar for Marco."
