"The bathroom was not very clean and it’s like they made it all black I think to hide that fact. Also the lighting in the room never let me shut off the lights completely so I couldn’t sleep, it only lets you dim it, very annoying. The day time staff was not very helpful but the morning staff when I was leaving super friendly and helpful."

"We had an amazing time at Hotel Le Donjon! We got a taxi from Carcassonne airport to the city gates and then walked to the hotel from there as the city centre is car free. The staff were immediately incredibly welcoming and our room was ready early so we could drop our bags off straight away. The hotel is the perfect location for exploring Carcassonne as it really is right in the heart of it, with shops, cafes and restaurants as well as the entrance the the castle itself on the hotel doorstep. We stayed in a family suite which was perfect for our family of four, with our 10 and 6 year old. There were two separate beds for the kids which we found really handy as many places only offer a sofa bed for children to share. The hotel has a lovely courtyard garden with tables and chairs which made a perfect quiet space when we needed a break from exploring. The breakfast was delicious and again the staff were friendly and welcoming. 3 out of 4 of us are vegetarian and there was lots of range for us all to enjoy - fussy kids included! On the day we left, we checked out but were able to leave our bags with reception for a couple of hours until our shuttle to our next stop. They also were very helpful recommending a suitable supermarket for us to stop at for supplies later that day."

"The beds were very comfortable with quality linens. The bathroom had a tub, plenty of counter space, towel warmers and quite large. The mini kitchen came in very handy. The breakfast was amazing with a huge assortment of choices. Staff were helpful and professional."

"Bien situé à 5 minutes de la station Jeanne d'Arc, de la navette pour l'aéroport et près du centre, très propre, personnel sympathique, buffet déjeuner froid copieux, mets chauds limités, peu goûteux et pas très chauds (oeufs, saucisses, bacon), espace restreint dans la salle de bain (1 personne à la fois), matelas dépassait la largeur du lit simple (glissant)."

"This hotel would be great for a very short stay. Rooms are clean, showers nice, beds are comfy. Breakfast is excellent, if a bit pricey. The vibe is fun and funky, with eclectic decor. And the location is perfect. BUT... Choose somewhere else for a stay longer than 1-2 days. The rooms have no storage (no drawers or cupboards), just a high shelf with a few hangers on the edge. There were no chairs in our room. The fridge is is smaller than most places I've stayed, and ours did not work well. There was no coffee maker or kettle (we were told we could have borrowed one from the front desk, but we just bought a mini kettle at Darty.) The rooftop bar was fun, but crowded, noisy, and service was slow. The restaurant was disappointing. It was the most mediocre meal we had in Toulouse, while also being the most expensive of our two-week stay. The food wasn't bad, but it was a bit bland and our appetizer (falafel) was overcooked and dry. The takeaway: Great hotel for a short stay, super location, friendly staff. Try the breakfast and visit the rooftop bar, but skip the hotel restaurant have dinner at one of the many excellent places within walking distance."

"Room was clean, breakfast was great (apart from the pod coffee machine not working very well), late check out at 12.00 was really helpful and staff were really friendly at the reception desk and at breakfast. The pool wasn’t open which was a shame as it was 26 degrees whilst we were there. I would definitely stay there again as it was so close to the medieval city. "

"As compared to the previous stay when we stayed for one night, there were a few problems. The room this time was a lot smaller than the previous one. The toilet was so small that in the evening after using the toilet I banged my head to the door handle. I am still getting headaches. The hotel needs to review this room."
