"Hotel is in perfect location on a beautiful street where you will find all the lovely restaurants . It is very typically French looking with a beautiful garden at the back with small tables and chairs. My double room which overlooked the garden was so clean,the bathroom had everything I needed for a pleasant 2 night stay. There are no coffee/tea making facilities but water machine on first floor to fill the bottle/decanter . Very comfy bed. Large T.V on wall which I did not use. Fab shower Hairdryer provided. There is air conditioning but the window did open so I just did that when needed. On the 3rd floor there is a small area terrace,and the view of the fortress from there is awesome.You can take lots of great pics I was sent a code to access the hotel incase I arrived later than 20.30hrs. The owners are so friendly and helpful,recommending restaurants and ordering return transport to airport. I did take airport shuttle when I arrived in Carcassonne. Only 6 euros,about 20mins to hotel. I had not booked breakfast on first morning,but as I was leaving early on my departure day,7.45 I booked breakfast which I was able to eat at 7.15am . Breakfast was a buffet,so much choice,I would recommend anyone to have the breakfast.It was delicious. Cannot fault the hotel. It was such good value for the price I paid. Do not stay anywhere else . The fortress was only 10 mins walk to get there. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay for 2 nights,thankyou Hotel Pont Vieux"

"Very good location, everywhere easily walkable. Secure parking & restaurant and bar were good with great views and staff helpful, but the room let it down. The dark decor showed every scratch & knock but more importantly our room was very badly designed. They got in a separate toilet & shower room but the toilet was so small you couldn’t use it and comfortably and shut the door, even if you weren’t tall! Don’t know if all rooms are like this or we were just unlucky. Apart from that it was very clean & comfortable."

"We had a pleasant two-night stay overall. My daughter especially loved sleeping in the bunk bed, which was a fun experience for her. The room was on the small side, but the bed was large, comfortable, and provided a good night’s sleep. There are a couple of areas that could be improved. The ventilation in the bathroom seemed a bit weak, and the shower area was designed with a very flat entrance, which made it easy for water to flow out onto the bathroom floor during showers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the comfortable accommodation."

"The hotel is beautiful and very atmospheric! Staff was wonderful! Rooms were lovely! A few issues for us were that that the tub is very deep which makes it difficult for older or short people to climb in. Although the hotel was beautiful the exits need to be better marked. If there was a fire it would be very difficult to exit the hotel safely."
