If we could give Villa Manning more than 5 stars we would. Everything about this place was exceptional. Located just a 7 min walk from the main town square, Villa Manning is perched above the hustle of the city and is a magical retreat that makes you feel like you’re staying in your castle. Our room was modern but had touches of antiques and history. The property is beautifully maintained, with a garden, pool, lemon trees, lounges and swings to relax and enjoy a quiet area above the city with a swim or a cocktail. Maria who made the breakfast every morning went out of her way to make sure we had all the food we needed including lactose free options for our daughter. And we can’t say enough about the lovely Valentina who managed the propriety and was there during the day for anything we needed. She was so kind and insightful and gave us wonderful recommendations for places to eat.

Amazing stay!! Highly recommend! My family came with us and occupied all 7 rooms. There was a bathroom in each and several half baths - perfect for a large group. Domiano was amazing! So helpful from the beginning! He speaks wonderful English and has a bunch of recommendations and help if you need anything. The pool was not heated, that was our only complaint:p the outside is beautiful with a patio area with lots of chairs and tables. It also has two upper balconies. It can get quite windy because the villa is up at the top of the hill, so sometimes you need to remove the cushions. Parking is street parking, which can be quite tricky, or you can pay €10 per day to have private parking through the villa owner. There is a little store at the bottom of the hill which has waters, wine, pastries, etc. There’s also a pizza place that’s walkable:) Overall love experience and highly recommend!!

Best place to stay in Sorrento

This was the best stay of our whole trip. Villa Manning is the perfect place to stay in Sorrento. An old family mansion transformed to a boutique hotel full of history and renovated with a great taste and design. Natalia, Valentina and Rosa were outstanding at hospitality management. I definitely recommend this place to stay in Sorrento

The Villa Manning is very charming and unique. It is a historic old Villa that has been slowly updated. Not of it is completed. I had no idea before we got there that is was an older villa, but I did appreciate that. The concerige from the beginning was very helpful. She walked us around and explained everything in detail. She even made us a aperol spritz at the pool. So good! The room we had was rather large and the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was charming and good. Simple, but sweet how they had someone there to prepare and serve you the food and coffee. The location is perfect. Not right in the main center but close enough and you can walk easy to the train or to the bus. The only thing I was expecting was the pool to be wider and cleaner, but we still enjoyed it. The grounds have SO much potential. It is magical but it needs A LOT of work and maintanence because it was overgrown. If they just kept up with weeding and pruning this it would be spot on. Because they haven't there were some criters and insects even on the balcomy.

Lovely property and huge bedrooms. Staff so friendly and helpful. The hotel is an old mansion, sat at the top of Sorrento about a 5-10 min walk down a hill to the centre. Lovely a quiet. There was lovely amenities in the bedroom. Some of the areas around the property need a little maintenance. There is no reception desk after 7pm. Would definitely stay here again

Very good and different hotel experience to what we’ve been used to (not in a bad way). Throughout the service has been excellent, from helping reach the hotel, to guidance on local attractions and transport to get there, through to making up breakfast packs for us checking out (as we couldn’t make the sit down breakfast). Big thanks to all the staff in the Villa who made our stay very stress-free!

Absolutely wonderful

We had an AMAZING week long stay at Villa Manning. It’s quaint, quiet and secluded, yet right in the middle of Sorrento! It was the perfect base for our amalfi coast vacation. We took ferries several days to neighboring towns and had a great time exploring Sorrento too. Easily walkable to countless restaurants. The pool was the perfect reprieve each day after walking all those steps! We really appreciated the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. You’ll love this place!

Beautifully appointed facility. Plan to spend a day in the lemon garden by the pool or on the terrace if you stay here-don't let the gardens go to waste! Room was beautiful and clean an quiet considering location near the square downtown. BEST BREAKFASTS I HAVE EVER HAD! Breakfast each morning was to die for...with different options each day. ROSA IS AN ASSET TO THIS FACILITY! Rosa treated us like our own mother would. She was a delight and so friendly, helpful and exuberant. Loved our stay at Villa Manning. Our room was huge for our family of 4. The location is absolutely perfect…close enough to the center of town but far enough for a peaceful place that feels like a secret oasis!! Breakfast makes this place truly special. Rosa is a gem and a very talented cook. Breakfast was outstanding and Rosa herself is warm and kind. Her cappuccinos are amazing. The pool is small but just enough to cool off and relax after a day of walking and touring. I booked this place a year in advance and so glad I did!

A wonderful week in Sorrento.

We had a lovely stay in room 1 which has a great view over the garden and its own covered terrace. Large, spacious room with en suite, although that is up a short flight of stairs, as is the shower in the en suite so keep that in mind. It's a delightfully quirky place nicely removed but only a few minutes walk from the town centre. All the staff are friendly and helpful but you have to meet Rosa. She will start your day with a smile, a good breakfast, a mastery of Google translate and a laugh - she always got the day off to an excellent start. We'd definitely recommend the villa to friends and family.
