"There’s no way we can adequately describe how wonderful a place this is! My husband’s first words were how big the cabin is. Pictures don’t do it justice. It is obviously beautifully and very thoughtfully laid out. There’s the sleeping area, but also a whole living room space as well. We had a good time reading, playing guitar and studying in front of the beautiful window! Loved that we could get up and make a cup of coffee right away without leaving our cabin. So many thoughtful touches to make...

Top Soul City Hotel Reviews

Spectacular - Main Lake Home - Huge Dock - Sleeps 18

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent location, beautiful lake view. Kitchen has everything you could ever need. We had our annual family get together with our children and grandchildren. Will return next year. If you plan to use kayaks bring your own life jackets especially if you have little ones that don’t swim."

Mary's Place ❤ Bright 3BR with deck/private yard

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at Mary's Place! Conveniently located to the downtown area, and the house was decorated to make you feel right at home! It was great to have a welcoming hone for our pets, and no detail was left overlooked! Would highly recommend staying here, and will be back!"

HUGE 7BR 4BA 2 Kitchen w/PoolTable,Ping Pong, Beach,Rowboat,4 Kayak, Paddleboard

8/10 Good

"Myself and 11 other people spent a long weekend at this location, we had a great time. So much things to do. The house was beautiful and the view of the lake was amazing. Our only complaint was a few of the beds need to be replaced as they have been well used. However the host was amazing and very easy to contact. Overall we had a great time! A huge plus was the massive dining room table."

Waterfront Retreat w/ Private Dock, Kayaks, Deep Water, Gameroom, Sleeps 12

8/10 Good

"The experience was great overall! We couldn’t have asked for better hosts when it came to communication and accommodating our early check-in. They were very responsive and made the process very easy.My only concerns were the cleanliness of the home and the bathrooms. I would have liked to see the tubs and floors cleaned more thoroughly. We also noticed a few cobwebs throughout the house, including in some of the bedrooms, and dust on the dressers, which made me question how thoroughly the home is cleaned between guests. It also would have been more convenient if there were a bathroom in the basement near the 5th bedroom, especially for the guest staying in that room.Despite these concerns, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider rebooking in the future. With a little more attention to the cleaning details and an additional bathroom in the basement, this would be an even better experience!"

Charming cabin get away w/ walk-in shower, kitchenette, AC/heat, WiFi

10/10 Excellent

"The cottage was great ! It had everything you needed! Our stay was like having a little bit of home with you! We were able to cook full meals and didn’t have to go out to eat and spend a fortune. But yet the charm of the cottage still made you feel as if you were in luxury! Watching the butterflies and humming birds was so peaceful. The hosts are terrific and so caring! We will be back!"

Pat's Place ~ Lovey’s at the Lake

8/10 Good

"This house was the perfect size and location for our short Labor Day weekend trip. We were two families (4 adults, 3 kids) and there was more than enough room for everyone. We also really enjoyed the location, directly on Lake Gaston and in reasonable proximity to parks and stores. We also liked the stocked kitchen, and everything was available and accessible to use the grill and the kayaks. Our only issues were with cleanliness and the stocking of the bathrooms and kitchen. The place was generally clean (linens, carpet, floors and furniture), but there is some bad staining in both the bathtubs. The bedroom with the bunk beds had the faint smell of cat urine, which was not pleasant. Meanwhile, the bathrooms could have been better stocked. There was only one roll of toilet paper in each and we had to go hunting throughout the house to find hand soap for the sinks. Meanwhile, the kitchen could have been better stocked for actual use — such as more trash bags, paper towels, aluminum foil and dish towels. There was no place to set dishes to dry, but also no towels to dry them. The sponges were also old (new sponges should always be available). Meanwhile, the lights on the dryer control panel don’t work so it’s a guessing game on what settings you’re using. Finally, the area around the kayak launch needs to cleaned up. Lots of trash In the water, esp. So generally, our stay was great overall. There were just some small details that could have been paid better attention to."
