Trebon is a very pleasant town in South Bohemia, only 20 km from České Budějovice. The town is a popular tourist destination and is famous for carp, which are common in the ponds that surround the town. 

Definitely more of a summer destination, when you can enjoy the many restaurants and local brewery (Regent),

Tábor, Czech republic 

The old gothic council house (the tower and building on the left) from 16th century in the main Žižka's square of town Tábor. 

The town was founded in 1420 by the most radical wing of Hussites, which became known as Taborites and it was an icon of egalitarian peasant commune for some 30 years. The name may come from the biblical Tabor hill and in Czech it means also a camp or military encampement. 

The town today has population of ca. 50 thousand and it is a nice quiet place ca. 1 hour by car or train south of Prague

Jindřichův Hradec, South Bohemia

Small town located around 40 km from České Budějovice. Most of the places of interest to tourists, such as the castle and main square, are within a very small area. There are a few excellent restaurants, and the nearby lake is nice to walk around. This is definitely a worthwhile stop if travelling in South Bohemia.
