"Really accommodating host.
We needed an early check in and this was sorted for us no problem.
Clean room. Comfy bed. Good shower.
Although no-one manned the reception, the host was easy to get hold of and made the stay easy as pie.
Thank you very much"

"Easy enough to find on Sat Nov I had a 2 night stay, the property had plenty of parking space and good outdoor space for sitting. All facilities worked well and were clean, the owner/ host showed extensive knowledge of the area which aided my stay.
My breakfasts were super offering quality and variety..worth it just for the breakfast.
I would not hesitate making a return visit."

"A very comfortable stay in a lovely guesthouse, well situated in Castle Cary. The hosts gave a very warm welcome and we appreciated their local knowledge and tips. Breakfast was exceptional with a great variety fresh fruits and compotes, as well as homemade granola and pastries. All in all, one of the best stays we’ve had. Highly recommended."

"The room was great, very clean, large and well appointed. We were greeted warmly on arrival where it was explained that a full breakfast was extra despite what was quoted online (and what we had chosen - and paid for). The manager did say that this error was not his fault and they were trying to get it corrected however it seems that the customer is being made to take responsibility for this. A continental breakfast is included however this consists only of cereal, toast and a bowl of fruit so does not actually mean breakfast, there was no yogurt, pastries or anything else so really a hot breakfast is required, at an additional cost. We did have a great sleep and the building is charming and staff friendly but unfortunately due to feeling overcharged I cannot give a better review. Errors with advertising should not be passed on to customers."
"Had a 3 day stay at this lovely hotel / pub in the heart of Frome. We upgraded to a balcony room and were not disappointed - the room was huge and even better it came with a lovely big bath tub and a super king size bed!!
Considering the size of the room, the balcony, huge comfortable bed, and secure parking we thought it was a really good price - much less than some of the other places to stay in the town.
I am told the breakfast was excellent (I preferred a lie-in) by my partner.
All in all very satisfied!!
Frome was also a lovely place to visit for a couple of days!"
"The pub on the ground floor was very good. The breakfast was freshly cooked and was excellent. The evening meal was good but spoilt by the plates being cold. I dont understand why kitchens can not serve food on hot plates so that you dont have to rush before it gets cold.
The carpet up to our first floor room was disgusting. Full of holes and very worn.
I paid for a deluxe room but it was pretty old fashioned (although the size was good and the TV was large). The bathroom was fine but the bath needs a mat to prevent you slipping when you using the shower.
I suppose you get what you pay for, but I dont think this hotal is 4 star."
"First impressions of the building not so good unfinished projects. Took my bags to the reception. Looked like a 5+ hotel good food very clean .i work away from home stop in some not so nice places . BREAKFAST AMAZING.
Need transport a little secluded."
"Very convenient location for the Royal Bath & West Showground. Owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was a little small but contained everything we needed and was very comfortable. We ate here on both nights of our stay and the food was great. Breakfast was also lovely.
The room would benefit from a few cosmetic improvements but we would certainly stay here again."
"We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the room was spacious and comfortable. One negative point: the bathroom extractor fan wasn't working and the shower wasn't handheld, but fixed to the wall, causing a lot of splashing."
