This cabin is not nestled in the mountains as advertised. It actually is right next to the highway coming into South Fork. Therefore, the road noise was ever present at night when trying to sleep. Although this cabin had the makings of being a nice place, the upkeep was lacking. The cabin has a fenced in small backyard, however I don't think it had been cleaned recently. The view from the deck off of the loft was an old shed, junk pile, and the highway. I love the fact that it is pet friendly, however the dried pee smell permeated from the carpet in the loft area. We did not bring dogs, however had to run to the store to purchase deoderizers just to make it tolerable upstairs. The TV in the living room is not main streamed therefore when we all wanted to watch TV together in the evenings we had to do so in our own bedrooms/loft areas. It got very hot especially in the loft area. Opening windows was not an option as they did not have screens to prevent bugs/insects from entering. The home had cobwebs in every window in the inside of the home as well as wasps in the upstairs window behind one of the beds. Window was never opened so we are unsure how the wasps were able to get in. The last night we were there it rained heavily and the ceiling next to the chimney pipe began to leak. I have never left a bad review and we have stayed in a plethora of rentals. I just feel it is important for people spending this much money on a cabin to know what to expect.
