Ingonish Chalets
10/10 Excellent
"Easy check-in, Clean,well-equipped kitchen & comfortable beds. Nice parking directly out the front door. The outdoor deck was nice, but only 2 chairs were available for a 4 person chalet. There was a metal bench, but it was very uncomfortable and cold to sit on, especially in the cooler weather. The ocean beach was across the highway and a 10 min walk on a dirt path through the woods, which would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The beach was beautiful. The day we were there, it was windy, cold and blustery, so not really a beach day. But we did enjoy a short walk along the beach"

Sugar Maple Camping Pod at The Spruces

"It was an upgrade for camping. The nice thing about the accommodation was that there were flush toilets and showers as well as a fully functional kitchen in the communal building. The outdoor lighting wasn’t very bright so a good bright flashlight is a must. It will help you to locate the assigned pod. Don’t bring large or a lot of luggage. There isn’t a lot of space left next to the queen-sized foam bed. Having indoor shoes is a good idea as the floor is not finished. The plug-in electric heater warmed up the space very quickly and nicely. After turning it off before going to sleep, the temperature stayed warm until getting up 7 hours later. A quick 10 min plug in brought the temperature back to the same level as the night before. Remember that this not to be like a motel room. It is meant to accommodate those who are camping. Communication with the host and his team was constant to ensure our needs were met. Good accommodations for those looking for a cozy no-frills place to spend the night."

"although the pod was small, it was comfortable. Although the kitchen was shared it was well equipped and not busy. Being a bit older not having an attached washroom was not great."
