"Our garden room was very basic but bathroom looked recently redone and very clean. Not a luxury accommodation but it was clean, right on the beach, the pub food was very good. My only complaint was lack of overhead lighting in the room. We knew it would be a no frills room but it was better than we had anticipated based on other reviews I had read. It was clean, staff was helpful and it served our purpose."

"Tv was small for being across room. 32”. We only had 1 coffee cup so glad I had a spare in our bags. Beds were ok. Not soft."

"This place is a perfect location on the Cabot Trail. You can hear the ocean at night. The pods are cozy and amenities are great! The staff are very helpful. Would love to stay here again on my next trip back."

"Wonderful view- situated on a hill overlooking the water. As the owner stated, " the view never gets old" :) Easy check-in with helpful owner. The breakfast eating area in the dining room had very large windows and soft music added to the ambience."

"My son and I had an excellent stay at The Spruces. Very convenient location in Ingonish- close to many restaurants and attractions. We used it as a base to explore the east side of the Cabot Trail. The pod was super comfortable with all the amenities we needed nearby. Will definitely be returning in the future!"
