"This is an older facility, but the owners have been working on updating it and still have some work to do. For the price and location in the Medical Center, you can't find a better deal. Staff are very helpful and nice. Parking is FREE! Threre are kitchenettes. And the rooms have walk-in showers! This is my go to hotel now when I have appointments at the Medical Center."

"It's a seedy part of town, and the traffic pattern out front is a little wonky. No elevator to get to the second floor rooms. If they hadn't had available rooms on the ground floor, we would have had to go somewhere else, because we can't schlepp heavy suitcases up stairs any more (we're early old). There was a drawer between the bed and the sofa that wouldn't stay closed, and the A/C unit was noisy. Otherwise it was a perfectly good place to stay, very close to the airport and the car rental places, and they had real sausage and potatoes (and fake eggs) for breakfast."

"I rarely ever leave reviews, but after staying at WoodSpring Suites Houston 288 South Medical Center, I genuinely feel obligated to warn other people before they waste their money here. This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I have EVER had, and I travel often. From the moment I walked into the building, the entire place gave unsettling, sketchy, crime-scene vibes. The hallways smelled strange, the atmosphere felt unsafe, and the overall condition of the property looked neglected and depressing. Nothing about this hotel felt welcoming or comfortable. The room itself was absolutely awful. It was not clean, not fully functional, and looked like it had been barely maintained for years. The sink in my room was broken, several things appeared damaged, and the room had this dark, gloomy energy that made me want to leave immediately. I honestly could not relax the entire stay because everything felt dirty and uncomfortable. For a hotel that advertises itself as an extended stay property, you would think basic cleanliness and functionality would be the bare minimum, but apparently not here. What made the experience even worse was the staff. Completely unhelpful, dismissive, and honestly incompetent. Any concerns I brought up were either ignored or handled with zero urgency or professionalism. Customer service clearly does not exist at this location. Instead of trying to make things right, they acted as if guest complaints were an inconvenience. I am honestly shocke"
