"There is a distinct lack of maintenance at the property with discoloured grout in the showers and plinths that have come away from the shower tray bases, for example. Taps are functional but very old and the whole place is a real patchworks of jobs attended to over time. One of the toilets still had a stickered b&q label on it where the owner couldn’t be bothered to remove it after installation. The photos look fresh, bright and clean on the advert, but in reality it is very tired, functional...

"Property is 10min walk to the beach and easily accesses the high street. The owner is very accomodating and available to help when needed. Neighbourhood is a little "rough" but the price was worth it. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"We actually stayed in apartment ‘Shape of Water’ which is owned by the same company as ‘Californication’ due to unforeseen circumstances. We were very happy with the communication beforehand and the check in process was very convenient and straightforward. The decor was very homely and modern however there was wear and tear in some rooms. Lovely open plan living room/kitchen however curtains/blinds would have been desirable in the living room. Really handy appliances for a longer stay (e.g....
