"We only stayed for one night and the main reason I've booked it was to be close to the railway station. Ones you used a number of escalators to reach the station exit the hotel iz just a couple of min away. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the ladies working in the breakfast room were amazing. Breakfast was good. Lots of cakes and sweets, however they could serve few more savoury things like veggie sausages and hushbrawns. The room was small but bed was comfortable. There was a kettle to make tea/coffee but only small paper cups not very good for hot drinks so my suggestion would be to provide proper cups and saucers. The city centre was about 20 min walk, however the bus stop was just outside the hotel. Busses 130, 131,131R will take you to there. All in all lovely hotel and we would definitely stay there again."

"Fabulous property. We stayed in a superior double room - the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was great. Enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening with a glass of wine and watching the sun set over the Tuscan countryside. "

"This beautiful property has been the most wonderful overnight accommodation that we've had in our two week central Italy trip. It is obviously a labor of love in the restoration of the 600 year old monastery, local breakfast selections, wonderful reception staff, and attentive and delicious on site restaurant options. We thoroughly enjoyed having a modest room (clean, modern, simple) and then walking through the spacious buildings, grounds, olive groves and nearby vineyards. It was such a pleasant exploring adventure that we extended a couple extra days and used the property as a delightful hone base each evening. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to be back again next year!!"

"We chose Hotel Athena because we’d stayed there before and loved it. This time was the same! It’s located at the wall of the city center so it’s walkable to all the restaurants, sights and shops therein and has free onsite parking. The breakfast is expansive and delicious, served in a delightful room. Rooms are clean, comfortable and good sized. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. "

"Beautiful hotel in a wonderful peaceful setting about a ten minute shuttle to San Gimignano. High end restaurant was wonderful but pricey so for the second night we ate in the lobby restaurant. Highly recommend this oasis. "

"This is not an hotel or a Bed and Breakfast but a working farm (vineyard and olive groves) with a beautiful guesthouse with comfortable basic bedrooms. The dinners are family style for each room/group and there is only one menu per evening. The dinners were delicious and the wine was very good. There were activities you could sign up for as well. But the greatest part of the property is the views of the vineyards, olive groves, and the Tuscan countryside. Absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. The family who owns it and their staff were all friendly and helpful. We felt renewed after staying there."
