Very nice little castle vibe which the kids loved. The room was big enough for our family and the breakfast was great. Staff was also super nice and helpful.

The secluded location at the end of a long drive through a wood was delightful considering the hotel is in such easy reach of Angoulême. A beautiful experience.

Very welcoming. Lovely grounds and layout for the houses/rooms. We loved our little 2 bed. We walked 25 mins to the local supermarket and then had dinner outside in the garden whilst our little one slept upstairs. All round, it was perfect for what we needed.

A classical property with great history. A pity there is not a restaurant attached but not a problem. Excellent accommodation at an excellent price. Good communication - necessary as it is quite difficult to find. Loved it!!

This property is absolutely beautiful and charming with great views- I highly recommend the garden room if you can. The pool is great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a walkable distance to shops and bus stops to get into the centre of Angouleme-just check the timetables thoroughly (use the SCNF app for reliable times and routes) and call local cabs well in advance. The only thing to note was that there was quite a bit of dust and a few cobwebs/ spiderwebs, which I assume was due to the room maybe being vacant for some time? Otherwise, if you want a French countryside stay- this is the ideal property.

2/10 Terrible

I was going to stay there after an art retreat in chateau nearby. I was taught the night before by guests at the retreat that they stayed there and left in the middle of the night because the hotel is haunted and the noises in their room was too loud they couldn’t ignore it and they left telling the owner they couldn’t stay there because there is no ac. The owner gave them a refund after a huge fight. So I thought to myself let me personally go and tell them the truth about what they told me. Now the front desk lady laughed saying she didn’t mind the ghosts. But I told her please let me talk to the owners and see if they can give me the refund so that I don’t have to go through this. I begged them on the phone. These men hysterically yelled at me telling me I’m making up stories, that I’m a liar. Now tell me why and who lies about such a thing? Let alone how uncomfortable it is to confess a truth that is superstitious to a lot of people.I am a girl, alone, so I can get scared and no one will care or bring me comfort if I am put in a bad situation so I have to try to protect myself. After a huge drama over the phone they said ok we will give you your money back but you have to pay the first night. I agreed and asked for a refund request. They said don’t worry we’ll do it ourselves via Hotels.com, we still didn’t retrieve the money. I learn after that this was a lie. They took the money and told Hotels they won’t refund. The hotel looks so old and bad I could’ve just said that

Anbefales for å oppleve noe sånt

Lett å finne frem, stille, fasinerende å bo der, store rom og fine innefasiliteter med små sofa områder. Personlig og følte med velkommen . Litt enkel frokost , det var det eneste som trakk litt ned.
