This spacious, well equipped 4 bedroom home is within 30 minutes of Lynchburg, Natural Bridge, Buena Vista. and Bedford, VA. It sits at the base on Terrapin Mountain in
Big Island, VA and is within 10 minutes of the James River, George Washington National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The area boasts wonderful hiking, kayaking, hunting and fishing.

Great place for our family to get together! My Brother from Ohio and me from Williamsburg. We met to have the rest of the family see my daughter off to Liberty University. It is about 30 minutes from there but was away from all the chaos of Lynchburg. We also set out to Gross Apple orchard for some nice treats and fruit. A lot of local places to go hiking and Natural Bridge is not too far, but unfortunately we did not have time to make it there. The house has a large living room for us all to sit and visit. Lots of bathrooms and all the needed equipment in the kitchen. The Host was very informative and polite. The place was peaceful and quite. Saw some young deer and the air-conditioning worked very well. We would come back again if coming to the area.

Terrapin Mountain Run Getaway

We had a great weekend! Kate is excellent in her pre-arrival communications and all is as described. House layout, common spaces, kitchen and grill all contributed to a great time with friends and super-convenient logistics to Terrapin Mountain.

Wonderful Experience

This home was large and spacious for the 6 of us, all adults. The surroundings were very pleasant and serene, a very calming experience. I would definitely consider going back if I had that many people again. The owner, Kate was easy to contact and talk with. Despite the rain we had a lovely time.

Spacious home in tranquil setting near Natural Bridge

This was a spacious, clean and well-stocked home (kitchen was great) in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Natural Bridge. It is just 30 minutes away from Natural Bridge, Bedford and Lynchburg. Lots of bedrooms and comfy hangout spaces. Kate was a very helpful and accommodating host.

Visiting our Son

Country setting away from towns but yet less then 1/2 hour drive to restaurants, food stores, gas or things to do. Very quiet area where the house is located and sitting on the back screen in porch, you saw and heard the sounds of nature. The house is very spacious with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and seating for lots of people. Very well stocked supplies for cooking, utensils for eating with, some seasonings and other stuff for eating and cooking with. Kate the host was very informative, knowledgeable, responsive to questions we had before we made our trip to the house and while we were there and kind. Would stay again!

The house was spotless. Everything one might need was there, many times in duplicate. Paper Towels, soap, TP, bedding, shower needs, you name it A stair lift, fans, lots of parking. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Away from everything! A great stay!!

Gold Standard VRBO

We were 6 adults .. wide range of ages. Each of us was most pleased with the house and gracious amenities. House was lovely, welcoming, sparklingly clean with comfortable beds, good showers, fully stocked kitchen supplies with surprising extras. (Bedrooms were one flight up and a room with a futon and full bath one flight down from main level.) Been in Vrbo, b&b and airb&b places .. Breezewood is set as my gold standard! We’d stay again in a heart beat!

Family Getaway

This home was absolutely the perfect place for our family getaway. It was in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, located within walking distance of a playground. The property was beautiful and had all the necessary amenities for our group. The spacious yard allowed ample room for volleyball, badminton and corn hole games, while allowing plenty of space for my grandson to ride his balance bike. The ping pong table provided much entertainment for our family. I would highly recommend this home if you are looking for a place to stay in this area of VA. Also, all communications were prompt and provided requested information.

Great property great owner

Beautiful large home with a great kind owner Very clean and spacious Older furnished but every piece of furniture and decoration is in perfect condition and truly love the home and location In went was super responsive and seemed like the only goal was to be sure our stay was great!
