Cadogan's at West Sea is a relaxing fully furnished townhome located on Barbados’ west coast. The property, located in the City of Speightstown, overlooks the calm Caribbean Sea. Beach access is less than a one minute walk from the property’s front door.

Uppermost level (3rd floor) - Two (2) air conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and comfortably sleep a total of four (4) people:
• Rear bedroom has a wonderful Juliet balcony with unobstructed panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, and has a queen size bed with light oak furnishings. Its en-suite bathroom also provides an enclosed tub and shower combo.
• Second bedroom consists of two (2) twin size beds, and it’s en-suite bathroom includes a spacious tile and glass-block walk-in shower.

Both bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans as well as ample closet storage. Linens and towels are provided for use during a stay at the property.


Second level (2nd floor) - Family room and dining area with ceiling fan, a fully equipped kitchen with cookware and utensils, and a washer and dryer.
• On-site entertainment includes a HDTV with cable and a Bose stereo system for your use as well as broadband Wi-Fi internet during your stay.


Enclosed tiled decks (partially enclosed):
• 2nd floor deck has outdoor dining and lounge seating to just relax or enjoy beautiful Caribbean Sea sunsets. There is even a high-powered spotting scope to get up close views of sailing yachts and cruise ships passing the island!
• 3rd floor deck provides views to the south of the townhome.

The property is within walking distance to all of the businesses and attractions in Speightstown, including several great eateries.

No-cost on-street parking in the vicinity typically available. However, if public transportation is of more interest, the area’s bus terminal/bus depot is within a convenient short walk from the townhome’s front door.

The apartment was everything we needed, there’s a flight of stairs as you go through the front door leading to the first floor kitchen lounge and patio with a lovely view of the sea. Then you go up another flight of stairs leading to two bedrooms back bedroom having a lovely view . It’s a short walk to restaurants bars and beach . Short walk if you wanted to catch the bus everything is very close .

Perfect Location

Nadia and Barbara were excellent communicators. Apartment has wonderful ocean views and is close to the beach, bars and restaurants. Bakery is opposite and Eddys supermarket a couple of minutes walk away. Also a short walk from the bus station. Apartment has everything you could think off to make for an enjoyable stay. This was our 2nd visit and we’ll be back.

Central position, fabulous views.

This is our 2nd stay here. We are both late 70’s so its position is perfect. Short walk to the centre of Speightstown, 2 supermarkets and plenty of beach bars and restaurants. The apartment had everything we needed and waking up to sea views is just what you need. Booking for next year.

FRUSTRATING

Apartment Manager forgot to come to let us in. We had to call her. one hour late. out of 3 air conditioners, only one worked. shower not working in one bedroom. we addressed the problem right away. shower fixed on day 2. still no air conditioning after 5 days with numerous phone calls and emails, situation not rectified. large fan delivered on day 5 for one bedroom. bedroom with no air conditioning is very hot and roosters start crowing from 3.00am. View of ocean obstructed by mature trees. photo on vrbo misrepresents the actual view from the large balcony where one spend most of the time. Photo taken from 3 floor miniscule balcony. owner stopped communicating with us by Day 5 after we requested discount.. apartment manager arrived at 9.30am on check out day when check out is at 11.00 am. Manager of the property is the owner's mother and is VERY forgetful. the apartment is located at one end of town surrounded by bars and restaurants. a great location. owner needs to have her air conditioning working in all the areas, bedrooms and living room, as it is a very HOT house/apartment.

Mixed feelings

The location of the property is fabulous with two balconies giving fantastic views of Speightstown beach and the sea. It was absolutely lovely listening to the sound of waves from the bedroom and balconies. The location to shops, bars and restaurants was a real plus side and the whole area felt really safe and friendly. The property fixtures and fittings are however very dated and parts of the property weren’t very clean. I spent an hour cleaning the kitchen, fridge and worktops when we got there. I also changed the bedding. It didn’t appear to have been professionally cleaned. That said we didn’t complain about it as we just wanted to chill out and relax. We also had a problem with the air con units which weren’t functioning properly. We did contact the host about this and she arranged for someone to come and take a look at the units. One worked better but the one in the main room wasn’t functioning as it should. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved the area, but some things need improving at the property before we would consider staying again.

Just Great

This was our first stay at Cadogan but have stayed many times in Speightstown. This property is perfectly placed for all our needs, shops, food and supermarket. It was great to stay at a property where everything worked. A nice touch was the phone to make local calls as it's a busy time there and you do need to book restaurants etc. Many thanks to Barbara who looks after the property, we did not need her but it was nice to know she was very local. Thank you Nadia for letting us have 4 wonderful weeks, we will be back next year.

Great apartment in a great area of Barbados. Access to all amenities. Fantastic communication with the owners mother who lives close by and was very attentive an exceptionally helpful. The apartment is as described very comfortable. Fabulous views and quiet.

Incredible location!

We cannot say enough good things about this rental. The location was incredible! Waking up to the ocean just outside your window, to the less then a minute walk to have sand in your toes, to our favourite bistro (Orange Street Grocer) next door, this rental made our vacation! The apartment was exactly as shown, very clean, amenities as described, parking was easy (and free) and the location was perfect for walking to beaches, dinner, shops etc. Traveling as a bunch of girls, the secureness of this property was also outstanding and allowed us to be worry free! We hope to be able to visit Barbados again, and when we do, we will defintely try and stay here again!

Excellent Place

We loved the listing and it's location in the city. The apartment was clean and the contact was very accommodating with our schedule for check in. I would recommend everyone to stay here for sure. A couple of items of note. Wifi is a little spotty on the top floor and the city is pretty dead after 7pm on weekdays. These are however minor issues and not something that should deter people from staying here Thanks again Nadia for the hospitality

Speighstown is wonderful

We had a beautiful stay at the villa. So close to provisioning and lots of beautiful beaches! The Orange Grocer and The owner Nick were amazing, accommodating with our groups of friends! Mrs Barbara was wonderful and made sure everything was great! Nadia the owner was attentive to all of our requests! Thank you all it was a great month in your beautiful home!

In the middle of Speightstown

Nadia, Barbara and Mervyn did all they could to look out for us during our stay. The TV network was changed, by the providers, but they helped get us back on track. There was a power outtage and the kettle blew, which was quickly replaced! We all enjoyed getting around the island on the buses, $3.5 Bajan each for any distance! Hold on tight if you use a yellow bus! The east and north are totally different to the west coast and just as beautiful. Speightstown is in need of a good make over, however. Maybe the corona virus has taken its toll on the visitor numbers, but the place needs a good clean. However, the people are a delight, friendly and welcoming and we made some good friends.

Great stay

We had a great stay here. Communication before the trip was excellent so we knew how to get to the place and check-in processes were clear. That led to a seamless check-in and the place was exactly as pictured and advertised. The place is clean and has great amenities, including great views of the sea from multiple parts of the house. The location is excellent, with easy walking access to the beach, restaurants, grocery store, and a fantastic bakery right across the street. Barbados also has good Covid-19 procedures. That includes our host, who was masked each time we saw her. We recommend this rental.

Perfection in Speightstown

Not much to say. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. In fact, I'd never stay anywhere other than here in Barbados. Perfect accommodation for our trip, amazing location, five mins walk to the grocery store, and bank terminals. Five mins walk to any bus to take us anywhere on the island. Perfect beach five doors away from our front door. Barbara, the contact here was with us immediately and cheerfully for anything and anything we needed. One tiny suggestion... Simply to know that the location is on Queen Street, and just a door away from the Orange Street Grocer. It is helpful to a taxi driver when first arriving. There don't seem to be numbers on the houses here. Speightstown is a lovely area of Barbados, and slightly off the main drag, which suits us very well. Quiet, and not so touristy as some of the other areas. It's been a wonderful trip. Hope to return again very soon.

Great location and ocean view!

While we never met the host, we met her cousin upon arrival and everything went very well! Speightstown is a quiet, relaxed small town and the apartment is well situated for easy walking to beaches, grocery stores, the bus station, and a few restaurants (we ate all our meals in the apartment since we are both vegan, though). The unit comes with everything you need for a long stay...washer and dryer, full kitchen and cookware, etc. It's easy walking distance to Heywoods beach and some other small beaches even closer to the unit. There are three terraces that look out onto the ocean, providing a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. And the host was responsive via email despite it being New Year's week, so our stay was great! The only minor negative was mosquitoes (the breeze was far too gentle to deter them, even with the fans on, and all the terrace doors lack screens so there were always a certain number inside the apartment). It would not deter us from staying here again, though...we would bring citronella candles and be more cautious about leaving the terrace doors open.

Very enjoyable. The townhouse was well appointed, and the town provided for any needs. Great views from both balconies. Quiet and peaceful area overall with a genuine Bajan feel. We'd book this townhouse again.

Amazing view and wonderful sunset every day!

Beautiful house right next to a nice little beach. The dining table is on a balcony with a roof, so you can eat every meal outside and enjoy the view. The master bedroom also have a stunning view. Very Quiet location, perfect to rest on the beach and to read. The sea is very calm in this part of Barbados. Not to far by taxi from the St-Nicolas Abbaye (a must to see if you stay there). We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her mother. About 40 minutes from the airport by taxi.

Perfect way to get to experience Speightstown!

The townhouse is in a great location on the ocean, between two nice safe sandy beaches, close to some really great restaurants and bars, across from a wonderful (open most of the time) bakery, with easy access to shopping. The Cadogen family have done an excellent job setting up the townhouse for visitors, keeping many of those little extras available (e.g., playing cards, cleaning tools, towels, instructions, etc.). The place is very clean and easy to relax in with good seating inside and out, beds are comfy and and the kitchen well stocked. Highly recommended!
