"I’ve stayed at Hotel Giotto twice now and it’s such a great place. The views are amazing from the room. The spa was a great way to unwind from all the walking. We had dinner there for two nights that was impressive, the duck dish was a unique dish that I thought was amazing. They also have parking, which is unique for Assisi Also even though is in a ZTL zone , it’s not photo enforced so you can drive directly to the hotel and park there. "

"Ideal location, halfway between Basilica San Franceso and Chiesa Santa Chiara. Everything in Assisi was within short walking distance. Crucially, the hotel had 10 parking spots directly in front, which allows entrance into the ZTL (otherwise forbidden). Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Booked the "family room," which was huge and had a great view. Great value."

"Very good hotel - restaurant provides good cuisine at reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet outstanding quality. Only ‘complaint’ was lack of walk in shower. Bath with hand held shower difficult to navigate as panels too high and no grab rail. However pluses far outweigh the negatives. For those - like us - using Perugia as base to c For independent travellers HGWeJA is very accessible by public transport. It is about 1km from the main rail station. You can get buses (B,C)to and from the bus station which stop very near the hotel. The TS circular bus (Mon- Sat) will take you into the historical town in less than ten minutes and return you in under 15 minutes. Recommend Umbria50 7 day card for €45 - "

"An excellent hotel - beautiful building and location; scrupulously clean; lovely room (junior suite); and charming, helpful staff. And the ‘valet parking’ is well worth the 20 Euros, particularly when one arrives at night during a wine festival… Delightful - highly recommended!"

"The hotel was absolutely wonderful. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re an American who, like me, knew little about Spello, Italy before booking. Trust me—you won’t regret staying here. While we didn’t dine at the on-site restaurant, it offers incredible views. The location is also very convenient—perched at the top of the hill, it rewards you with stunning scenery (and a bit of a workout getting there). My only small disappointment was that we requested a check-out just one hour later, since our train wasn’t leaving until later in the day, but the staff wasn’t able to accommodate—even when I offered to pay for the extra time. Still, overall, it was a truly lovely stay. "
