"You need to contact hotel through WhatsApp for check in Or there is no response. The key for the room is in lockbox at top of the stairs. Once inside, the view is amazing. Worth every penny and all the stairs. There are no beach towels or bag. Everything is an additional charge- drip coffee, water. Expresso costs the same downstairs in town. For those with bad knees or have trouble with stairs, do not recommend. There are about 70 stairs. Overall, it was very pleasant and air conditioned."

"Hotel itself was amazing, the patio is perfect for breakfast or sundown relaxation and was the highlight of the room for us. 2 small nitpicks would be there are about 6 lightswitches in the room which have a blue light, it was very annoying to try and sleep with them on as they are bright. They also didn't have any free coffee which is very strange considering the price of the stay and isn't the norm with any other bookings we've had in Italy."

"Great stay! There is no front desk or person working onsite, however you will message the operator via WhatsApp, and the communication was prompt and always with clear instructions, in English. Keys for the building and your room will be found in a lockbox on the outside of the building, and that was all pretty easy. They will even send you a timelapse video of how to get to the front door from the Riomaggiore train station, but it's super easy, literally straight up the hill a half a block. There are at least 3 restaurants right there at the base of the hill, where you can buy beverages, coffee, get hot food, etc! The location is great, overall. To get to the main street and waterfront in Riomaggiore, you'll walk through a tunnel. The Via Delle Amore trail is also right there! The room itself was as nice as the photos. Essentially new finishes, and very important: the AC worked well!! 🙏 Bed was comfortable, furniture is nice, there's a Nespresso machine in the room, too, which like the good AC was greatly appreciated!🙏 There is a fridge in the room, and a microwave available in the hallway should you need it. Room had a great view of the Mediterranean, curtains, and even a motorized shutter outside that you can lower. I was able to text the operator for needed daily items, like fresh towels, more nespresso pods and toilet paper around 11:30am when the cleaning lady is there in the building. It was a very comfortable and easy stay! 🛌"

"Wonderful wonderful wonderful!! Great location! Beautiful view and the room was clean, well stocked and beds comfy! The temp outside was over 30 and the air conditioning worked great. Paole left us a bottle of wine, coffee and snacks. He gave clear directions and passes to the elevator and path for the length of our stay."

"We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Hotel del Sole to all! The location is perfect - at the top of the main street in town. We were so close by but not in the middle of the action. The property is quiet, comfortable, and the service was outstanding. The owner was amazing and sat down with us to show us maps, helps us get discounted train & trail passes, plan our train times schedule and more. You can’t go wrong staying here - book now!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at 5TERREONTHEROCKS. Matteo was a great host, he had a guide book with all sorts of recommendations for food, things to do and useful tips for our stay in Riomaggiore as well as for the other villages. Communication was excellent, check in and out was very easy. The apartment was very well maintained and clean, and in a great location. Having the balcony was really nice for the mornings and also to just sit and enjoy the stars at night. Would definitely stay here again!"
