"Modern boutique style hotel with bedrooms in lodges. The room was simple but very clean and a large walk in shower. There were plenty of supplementary tea, coffee and milk too. The staff were super friendly and polite and the food was very good value and homemade too. I don't think there was WiFi in the rooms though and air conditioning would have been welcomed."

"Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced. Staff were excellent. Friendly, polite and attentive. We would return."
