"Great location in Old Town…but you have about 50 stairs that you have to haul your luggage up…then a narrow alley and then narrow stairs up to the rooms. So…worth it for the location, think fabulous wine bar part way down the stairs, multiple restaurants at the bottom of the stairs…and you will definitely get some exercise going up and down those pesky stairs. LOL"

"This is a beautiful place to stay, right in centre of town. Very easy to get to from drop-off by taxi at Pile Gate, and thankfully it's on same level as the main street, so no struggling up lots of stairs on side streets with heavy cases, as other tourists we saw had to do. You do however have to lug cases up stairs within hotel if on top floor as we were , no lift. Beautiful room, everything catered for, perfectly clean. We arrived late evening from Montenegro by ferry, but arrangements were made with lady in cafe opposite to let us in. Perfect position to explore Old Town. Highly recommended. "
"Really nice place to stay right in the middle of Dubrovnik old town. So convenient to walk the town. They don’t tell you, we found out by chance, that you get a 20% discount at their restaurant. The only negative, although I didn’t let it affect my 5* review is that although they supply a kettle in the room they don’t supply tea or coffee. I have hot comment on this only because I found it funny.. when I queried why there was a kettle but no tea or coffee, the manager said “This isn’t the Hilton”. But don’t let that bother you, it’s a minor point."

"We had an amazing stay at Villa 5db. It’s a prime location in the old town. Our room overlooked the main street in the old town. It was a modern style room that was spacious, with a huge bathroom and closet and immaculately clean. There were tons of dining options in and around the villa. We were in walking distance of all the major areas one should visit in the old town. Paula and her team were the best hosts. I asked her for recommendations for a hair salon so I could get a blow out. She not only recommended a place but she called and got me an appointment. Paula even helped to arrange a pick-up and drop-off to and from the airport. I would highly recommend you book the villa for your stay in Dubrovnik. "

Kitchen and verandah are closed between 10pm and 8am, which makes it difficult to get coffee for early risers or have somewhere to hang out while others are sleeping. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. "
