"I wanted to quickly go up and visit my friend who lives in Port Loring. I booked this wonderful cabin last minute and I am so glad I did. Clean, neat and cheerful it is exactly as listed. All amenities you need are there! Beautiful location. I'd highly recommend and will book it again!"

"What a wonderful place! As all guests have noted, the cottage is extremely comfortable and beautiful. On cold winter days the wood stove (and plentifully supplied wood) keeps the house cosy, and the vast glass front to the cottage allows one to feel you are sitting in the woods. In December it was extremely quiet, we didn't see anyone else nearby or on the lake - making for a very remote and relaxing experience. We were able to walk on the frozen lake and along snowy roads, as well as cook in the well-equipped kitchen and hang out comfortably in the open living space. I would recommend this place as a winter getaway to anyone who likes to feel far from everything - it was just perfect.We (and the owners!) had the bad luck of the water pipes failing for pretty much all of our stay (no fault of anyone's... and not likely to happen again I wouldn't think now that things are repaired) - so we had a bit more of rustic week than planned for. Samantha and Rob were, of course, extremely responsive. They gave us the choice of leaving with a full refund for days not stayed, or of providing us with water for us to 'rough it.' Given that this happened over xmas, the level of help and efforts to fix the situation were really stellar. No one wants or anticipates this kind of crisis - but when things happen, then having kind and responsive hosts is what is needed, and Samantha and Rob really were great.Would recommend this place without reservations."

"Honestly wasnt bad over all exsept hairs in the sink and over dirty and some hairs on the bedding. And ac units left in the windows still so was a bit drafty. But honsstly was grate location and everything other then the cleaner not cleaning proper. I would stay there again if still available next time i go up and is cleaned proper"

"Where to start? The hosts are amazing. They have thought of everything, for when you haven't. The cottage is lovely. Plenty of space and amenities. The property is awesome. It has such a secluded feel. Views are wonderful both day and night with unreal star gazing. Fishing was excellent right off the dock. The nearby communities are fun to visit and explore. A very enjoyable cottage destination. "

"Liz is a wonderful host, very consistent in communication. The vrbo property is a bit out of cellular range, and the cottage doesn’t have wifi so very good to truly disconnect from the electronic world. We caught fish everyday, enjoyed some bbq and were able to enjoy our long weekend away thoroughly. The neighbours both have dogs, and the one dog was friendly enough to come over and say hello to our pup! Just a heads up if you have a dog who isn’t good with other dogs to be aware that you may have a visitor! The overall property is beautiful and very secluded, the only dock on the lake for a mile either way, and star night skies that take your breath away! Thank you for lending us your lovely property Liz, and wouldn’t hesitate to return."

"A nice and open lake view on the south side. Six apartments with long and wide patio at back. Spacious parking in front. One bedroom and one living room with sofa bed. Rental Canoe and boat available. Firewood and fire pit. Caught one fish on dock. Clean lake and warm water in August. Overall a nice 3 days stay."
